Revenge of the mites.

Hey fellow cannasseurs, i haven't been on these forums for a couple of years but i started growing again
and ran into some spider mites probably form a clone a picked up off Craigslist.This was intended to be a Grow journal until i got to the part of the mites so i put it here instead.

Strains : 1 gsc , 1 afghani kush (5 gal pots)
Soil: 50/50 mix of FFOF & Happy Frog
Techniques: SCROG (1st time) super cropping , and topping
Nutes: General Organics Base line and Bio Bud
Light: 1 600w Led
Grow space: 5x4x3 grow tent (craigslist $30 SCORE)

About 1/2 way thru veg i realized i had a spider mite problem
sprayed the shit outta them with azamax and had some lady bugs roaming around in there for a few weeks.
should have kept spraying because i hadn't realized they were back until
after i flipped the switch which was less than a week ago.

12/13/16 : lights out for 36 hours
12/15/16 noon lights back on 12/12
12/16/16 :realized spider mites were back did some spraying & pruning
12/18/16 sprayed with dish soap and fed GO Bio Thrive Bloom

What should i do here? Can i go back to veg until i know 100% that the war is won
or continue spraying and hope that i can get them all early on so that no buds are compromised?
or Nuclear option , cut it all down and start anew?

I've used it in veg & flower and is very effective, no spraying just hang it during hours off for a couple of days, then repeat a week later.

FORBID 4F 1 light spritz on the top of the plants leaves and boom done!

Look on Ebay for 1oz or less amounts.....about 8 drops per gallon of water.
Derived from an organic acid. The way they bind it to a carrier is why it's not organic...

Spray your contact killer (azamax) on the soil surface to be sure you got any there.

lowes and home depot both carry a neem oil concentrate on the shelf with other pest control methods. instructions on the label. Also go get you some habaneros use about 6 per qrt of water puree in a blender then simmer but not boil (or you'll gag and regret it). One week spray your pepper spray (with a bandana over your mouth and nose) and then switch to neem oil spray, then back to pepper spray, then back to neem. etc. it'll keep it on lock step with the mites. Also cedar oil is a repellent you could interval in every so often. I've eradicated mites this way no prob. BUT truth be told, you cannot stick with one method for ever. It will appear to work for a few weeks then some dickass fairy mites will your girls pussy while you arent looking.

Hey thanks for the reply IHearAll , I was reading about the habanero spray and also garlic spray. However it said that i should let the garlic spray sit for about a week to let it reach its full potential, is it the same case with the habaneros?

use ` 10% h2o2. Buy from beauty supply. usually comes stronger, just dilute

YUP,,, Forbid,, or FLoromite,, or AVID,,, any of these,, will wipe out your mites,,
and YES buy a small amount on ebay,, costs maybe 10 bucks,, last batch I purchased looks to be a lifetime supply,, only 6 drops to a quart of water,,, after spraying you will never see mites again

i had mites come back in flower after using azamax,, it just doesnt seem to do the job fully, sure it knocks them back
neem oil will just make your plants smell,

Mighty wash also does the trick, but its uese pyrithrins,, but that active ingrediant would be gone from your buds by harvest time

the pepper spray kills on contact

I just really have a problem with spraying capsaicin oil (or any oil) on my plants....
It doesn't really go away indoors - no rain to wash it away.
Being a what it is. Do you really want to smoke a "hot sauce"? The residue is there!

You trade one thing for another.....weeks of work to a single application of an extremely diluted natural acid. It kills by not allowing the bugs digestive system to absorb lipid fats. In effect, it dries the bug out like a mummy because it can't hold moisture.....
That's the same way insecticide soaps kill bugs..

It works on all stages of the bugs life. including the egg and larval stage...

If you catch them early SNS217 can wipe them out. Natural. Always my first choice before Forbid4F.
