RIP Subcool

To clear some things:
Subcool's infusions were actually proteins, which were naturally missing in his body. The disease was a flaw of genetics.
He said more than once that he was basically choking to death, and you could see this in his videos with all the coughing he did. He was also having seizures, but didn't talk about that much.
Having worked with people in a similar condition, Sub lasted much longer (thanks to infusions) than I thought he would. Usually people that sick don't last one year, but Sub spent the money to stay alive. He continued making vids which he obviously loved doing, talking to his fellow weed nerds.
He would mention the use of Buildasoil in his fert recipe. I'm the one who told him about it. I was searching YouTube for organic grow vids and discovered some by the PhD scientist who was essentially forced out of her job at Oregon State Univ. She made her own company and Sub used her products with great success. He never thanked me for the tip. That's okay though, I'm not angry over it.
It's unfortunate that Subcool passed on, but his body couldn't continue living. The hard part is that the raid and losing the house were apparently the result of someone turning him in over a pack of seeds. Pretty chickenshit. At least his death kept him from suffering in jail. He would certainly die there if that's where he got sent. It's best that he die outside the confines of a jail cell.
The hard part about Sub's vids is there's so much gibberish where he says nothing important or does nothing but listen to music. He gathered much more knowledge about growing the plant than he shared with others. We tuned in to learn from him but he always seemed more interested, even obsessed, with just getting high. I remember him saying "I'm smoking way too much for a guy with a lung condition." Yeah, no shit.
Subcool became one of the most important people in the grow culture. He held his own charities and helped others financially by gathering donations of his Youtube viewers. Sub did some wonderful things and you really can't bad-mouth someone when you see those thing happen.

i'm a new member around here but have been reading for many many long years. i wanted to chime in on this thread because i feel compelled to. i realize it is a little late for the sap but it's the thought.
i remember first hearing about subcool's weednerd from danny danko on free weed podcast. his methods and operations are definitely legit! that was many years back and he was making alot of noise about organic super soils in my novice years. good to know the weed nerd catalog is there. definitely will become classics i'm sure i have already learned some cool things. haven't tried any of the TGA genetics yet but the selection is one of the most heady looking i have seen! (unfortunately having a reliable and readily available high quality seed supply is very tough in my neighborhood).

I wanted to try every strain this man ever spoke about. I even bought his seeds and watched a few videos.
He taught me about Flavors, Tastes, Copious amounts of THC and the True meaning of Dank.
Before I pass I want to smoke 420 strains of Cannabis ( I'm at 340 now
) many are TGA, and I hope to add many more.

Hey so does anybody know what is going to happen to subcools the dank? I'm guessing his seeds arent gonna be around anymore. Or were there other people in the company thatre still pushing the beans?
