here is a good link for lights, they still have some bulbs on sale for 35 too if you search all the light pages. I would plan for each light covering 3x3 roughly so that would be minimum 6 of the lights. I would go with the 600 watts for power consumption and heat, Lets see what others think but I have both the 1000 and 600 and think going with the 600 may allow you to use 8 instead of 6. I wouldnt go with less than 6 if your planning on using the entire room
