Rockin' the boat

So I know i've been gone for quite some time and I apologize. I assure you guys that I haven't been cheating on you with a another grow forum. I've simply been crazy busy and that probably won't change vary soon. BUT I'll make as much an effort as possible to come back and be consistent.

That having been said I think with my return I should rock the boat a little....or a lot. So what do you think would be so out of character for me as to send shock among the masses? I'll tell you what. as of today the seeds are germinating on my next grow. This is no ordinary grow but It is a soil grow. Not only that but once it is warm enough outside they'll be transplanted to bask in the warmth of the sun!

Kant growing in soil? what!?! Kant growing outdoors?!? WTF?!? there must be a catch but what could it be? Could it be the fact that i'm using cfl's? nope. Stay tuned to find out!

I'm sorry for neglecting you guys but I've been crazy busy this year.

So on to updates...well sort of. On to my temporary grow room. Since they'll only be here fore a couple of weeks before they get kicked out side, I opted to use cfl's since they're cheap and because i don't have room for them in my real grow room. If this works out as a nice temp grow room it might turn into my cloning room.

What i have right now is 4x 27w cfls. I don't know if that's good or not but the packaging said they put out 1750 lumens per bulb so i figure 7000 lumens is pretty decent for a early veg/cloning room.

It's not the prettiest of setups but it's not bad for a bout 20 min of work:hump:

Oh and one more thing. Soon (i'm not sure if that means this week or next or when), this place near by is going to start renting out gardens, which is a 15'X10' plot of supposedly really fertile ground, So if you have any recommendations or requests for me to grow something please tell me. It can only be annual plants because they won't let me keep the plot during the winter. I think the contract would end in like sept or oct so give me some ideas on what to grow...legal things that i can grow

Thank god for neurotic tendencies. So i was walking through lowes again looking for some grow cubes (which they didn't have) but during my search I decided to stroll through the light section (again.) and found bigger clf's. w00t. they're 42w, boasting a 2700 lumen output. So i'm gonna return the other ones and put those big boys in.:mrgreen::mrgreen:

Ok so i've compiled a short list of things i want to grow in this open garden.

tomatos
garlic
strawberries
unspecified herbs - of the legal variety
atropa belladonna (this is a perennial plant, so the big harvests don't come till later years, which means i'll have to pot it and grow it in my apartment over the winter.)
hemlock (for the ravenous bunnies)...(they're everywhere!)
