Rockwool or not

Is it ok to put your rockwool cube in middle of hydroton in an aeroponic set up I've notice mine staying soaking wet and seen a few post where people take them out of the cube before putting them in medium? Thanks for help

I don't do aero, I do DWC, I've seen some people just put the seed straight into the clay pellets, but I've never heard of people putting them in rockwool then taking them out. It doesn't make any sense to me as to why you would do that. The rockwool is perfectly OK to be wet 24/7 although when they're bigger I tend to lower the level of water and keep the rockwool dry

I was afraid to try rockwool to root a clone because I heard its tendency to stay wet can rot the cutting before roots appear. So I started one in the rockwool, and one in straight perlite. the rockwool has nice roots, the perlite, im still waiting for it to take. this is in a fairly cool environment, not nearly warm enough for clones, so they are taking a long time to build roots anyways.
