Rockwool preparation

I'm about to germinate my seeds, and I was wondering how I should prepare my rockwool. I've done some research online, and I've found that some sites contradict others (some say use a nutrient solution and soak for 24 hours, other say use a neutral pH water and soak 24 hours).

What do you suggest?

When I was using rockwool I didn't condition it at all. You can soak it in water for 24 hours if you want.

So just soaking the rock wool over night in distilled water will okay?

The general consensus is probably to soak it a day in pH 6ish water but I never have, never thought that damn far ahead.
