Roll of mylar - use white side instead?

From reading on the forums, a lot of people don't seem to like mylar due it creating hotspots and it's hard to clean.

I see a lot of people recommending panda film.

I have a 100m of mylar here, shall I put it back to front, so I'm using the white side?

Are you really asking if you should use the white or black side of the mylar?

There is no black side to mylar. There's the reflective side and the other side is pure white.

My current grow room is done out in the reflective side, however I'm building another one and asking if this time I should use the white side.

oh ok...good...lol. I'm not sure about hot spots from the reflective material, but the older tents that are just white on the inside work just fine if you want to use the white. Flat white paint is usually recommended for painted walls. I honestly doubt that it will make that big of a difference either way.

No. Shiny or not. Panda is different. Reading ftw.

To the op. Run your mylar the right way. You wont have hot spots. Just make sure its tight.

Youll get the best reflection from mylar. Panda is for when you need durability.
