ROLS in 20l pots?

I was wondering if it would be possible to do the whole ROLS thing in 20 l pots? As i understand you simply ream mend the soil following each grow and if you dont reammend too heavily you can go straight into another cycle. Does the whole recycling soil thing work in smaller pots?

It will work in smaller pots but i would go 5gal minimum to have enough microlife in there to do the job. Smaller pots are best dumped in a tote and reamended with plenty of worm castings to add life to the mix.

Thanks don i did wonder about the limitations of smaller pots, i was planning on reammending each time in a huge bucket (not sure what a tote is but i assume this is something similar) So are you saying that if i dump these each time and reammend before reusing that this will be ok for microlife? just space is a bit of a premium and im having a job getting hold of bigger than 4 gal

Post a local ad seeking large plant pots. I often get BIG ones for free from people who have bought shrubs and trees!

Or how bout a Rubbermaid Tote?

Yeah i picked up some plastic bins which im probably going to cut in half to cut the height down a bit. will drill a few holes and voila .. plant pots are rediculously expensive here.
