been using advanced nutes for a year in soil w/bag seeds, i was just cutting down a batch and noticed when dumped the used dirt that my roots were not even visible besides on the very bottom (little strings) in a 3 gallon pot, was wondering how i can get bigger roots like the pictures i've seen on this website since i've joined, is it just vegging longer???? I use this chart i got from d.a.n. (discount advanced nutes)....

I am in favor of longest veg and bloom as I can get. I get pretty nice roots, comparable to the good shots.

I think the chart is a basic guide. Each pheno and strain can be different. Generally I advise more veg'n than that chart...even for "quick" grows.

I cant predict your yield..but yea it will likely go up and the quality should increase also. That is if you keep grow'n the same strains. Course if you change strains yield will also change & the same can be true with different phenozz.

what type of light are you using? looks like floro and LED? Root mass also depends on what and how you feed them. What dirt?

my brother tells me the same thing, low root mass. i always have mondo rootage! i use h&g roots excelurator, but in most cases, your plants should produce a good set on their own. yes, one of the main reasons for the long veg period is to enable the plant to establish a nice/big/healthy root system. what you have going on underground directly effects what can go on above ground.
