Root rot or Too Much Heat?

I flipped the switch a couple days ago and I was 1 day late to add tea because the light went out. I also put in 2x 1000watt hps lights and took out the 2x 600watt MH. Temps were a little high at 83 degrees F above the lights and I saw the leaves in pics 1 and 2. So yesterday I switched the light to 2x 600 watt HPS.

I did change the Rez to Remo’s flowering nutes so I took a look at the roots and saw pics 3 and 4. Roots don’t smell bad (to me) but they do smell a bit like tree bark and they aren’t slimy or mushy. This is a different smell and look then I’m use to with root rot.

I’ve been following the directions for my uc6xl as far as environment goes except when temps spiked when I added those 1000’s and I should mention my light levels didn’t exceed 750 micro moles at any time even with the 1000s and right now it’s about 550.

I really appreciate the help and this community.

I’ll put them under a microscope at lights on in 5 hrs 30 min. With the naked eye I didn’t see anything.

Are my roots ok? I hate to add calmag when the roots are sick. How much calmag should I add because I did what the directions said when I fed em. The bark smell is new. Usually it smells like an aquarium when roots are in distress.

you'll have to make the call on the roots. they don't look like rot but hard to say without being there.

i would foliar spray with epsom salts instead of cal/mg. i don't see a cal defic and you don't need more N either.
1 tbsp per gal.

No bugs. I’m growing Indicas I think the blistering is from to much light.

I rechecked my light levels when I saw more blisters they were at 750 micro moles. When I set them they must not have been warmed up yet. They are back down to 550.


Indicas or at least this kandy kush express seams to be a bit light phobic.
