rooting????????

hi iv got 10 bubblegum on rooting usully use 240w to get them going with a mother,would it be possible to root under a 70w white standered house hold bulb to root? iv got 10 going if not quick change.thanks for any feed back x

Yes it will root to be honest with you. I've done it with a few plants years ago that never got passed seedling stage. Well that was because I was a teenager and didnt have anywhere to put it. So i just killed the plants for fear of being caught by my parents.

I would not reccomend to keep it there as soon as it sprouts though. What I noticed was it mad the plant shoot up faster then normal but the stem became weak and it needed help to keep itself up. I assume it was because needed more light causing it to stretch very rapidly creating a very weak stem.

stretchy seedlings that fall over can even happen in great conditions, but you give them a few more days and they should perk up a bit and stand back up.

but, cloning requires a bit more than an incandescent bulb...swap out to at least a few CFL's in the high K range(6500K+) for rooting clones

see a took cuttings just didnt want to buy a 240w energy efficent and a no it doesnt take much to root them so do u think 2x 11w house hold enegy efficents would do the job??? thanks allot

when you say household energy efficient I think you mean CFL's? I'd go for at least the 23watt CFL's if you can get them, they are the 150 watt equivalent bulbs, and 4 of them instead of just 2, the more the better. When dealing with CFL's get more. If you are seriously using incandescent bulbs for that "240watt" number you have up above, you might as well just turn it all off and save the electricity as you won't get any real bud off that...

are mate these bulbs are strictly for just rooting,iv got 2 x 600w metal halide for veg then move onto the hps for flower iv got a 2m x 2m tent with a 6 inch L sucking out and a 5 inch blowing in.really just for the thought of it i may aswell get a 240w cfl next payday.just tring to cut corners on the last finishing touches never goes down well
