Roots aren't going deep?? Need help please

Hey guys, soil grower in his first hydro run here. This are going good, have a gorgeous white russian in veg at day 40. Now I'm not sure if I have a problem or not, but the rootball, while it's white and healthy, isnt growing down into the bucket, but instead, is twisting and growing around the net pot. It feels tight so I'm afraid to try opening it up at all, but I need help here lol.
Will this sort itself out? Cause right now it seems like I'm topping up every day to keep the water high so the roots are submerged. I'm getting great growth, and need to know what to do if anything. Thanks.

That pic is a a week old. Last night they look more wrapped to the pot. 20170708_194625.jpg

It is doing what it is programmed to do in that situation, I see nothing to worry about here.

They look great. Remember, the upper roots don't need to be submerged so you can let the water level drop a little. I run 1-2" below the bottom of the net pot. The twisting doesn't matter, they're in water, it'll flow throughout the root mass. I've had roots that look like wound rope without issue.
