Roots going a bit nuts

Gooood morning

So I opened my temple today and saw roots of my flowering babies poking through the top, we are talking about a foot plant in an 8 inch pot, doubt its lack of space because Ive grown bigger in smaller pots.. Any ideas and what kind of damage are we looking at here?
