Roots on Docs OG not dropping into res?

Is that ppm number including your base level.. ergo.. the ppm of your tap water?

Just as a reference.. DWC needs very low ppm amounts. 1100 is WAY too high. This is what we run (we mix our own nutes).

1. Rooting clones.. water only till yellowing then 200.
2. Transplants into net pots 300.
3. Actively vegging... 400-700.
4. Huge monster veg plants (like 4 feet tall) 8-900.
5. Beginning flower... veg mix 1k
6. Week two.. flower mix 1100
7. Week 4-5 1400
8. Week 6 900
9. Week 7 700
After week 7 till finish 3-400.

Obviously a little strain dependant but that is VERY close to where you should be at.

Pro tip... use proteck silica instead of ph up. Gots to have some silica.. usually about 80 ppm.
1100ppm is from res tank after nutrient mix, I try not to use tap water but my tap is around 344ppm just tap. I have a distiller I use which gives me 1-2ppm then I add my nutes. I started these plants at 328ppm when I stuck them in the Rockwool, Then 2nd week of veg was 662ppm, then I flipped lights to flower the beginning of 3rd week and bummed up to 975 ppm now on 4th week since I stuck them in net pots and they are at 1100ppm. I do have some rhino skin from AN but rarely used it only did on two grows in coco. I'll run that next grow in the hydro . Thank you for the tips!

i see one problem that you can fix next grow. put about an inch or two of hydroton in the bottom of the netpots and then put the rockwool cube on top.

i never liked rockwool and dwc. i used to get clones in rockwool and i would carefully cut them out and just put them in all hydroton in the netpots.
Any suggestions on better media for the nets then the rock wool? I've run it 4 times so far and Im not really liking it to much, I was thinking coco plugs that are 3inch? Do they even make those though? Thanks!

Ps... if you buy anything else from AN, when you get to your car and your driving home, ask yourself.. why am I soo fucking stupid?

We make "rhino skin" with a pound of potassium silicate ($6) amd a gallon of water...

Sorry man, sometimes the truth stings a little.

brotha im not to worried about it, mainly bought it to experiment. A lot of stuff I have are things im trying out each time just to see what works and what doesn't. I learned fast to ditch AN, just have left overs of what I have. Now im running Blue planet which is giving me a lot better results and saving me money as well, like I said though im still dialing in my hydro skills as I've only been doing hydro for a little over a year and a half. I think I've done fairly well with what I've pulled in the past. But im still no where near close to done learning the tricks of the tips when it comes to hydro. Im glad im getting information across the board from you guys. Very knowledgeable all of you. Now when it comes to feeding I don't follow bottle Feed schedules, well mainly because I feel like they want us to use more then you actually need just so you have to go buy more. so I cut it back about half and I've seen nothing but happy plants. No signs of deficiency and if their ever is i do add a little more of what ever It is lacking say potassium or nitrogen.

I drained and raised water levels, turned up my air pump little more. Water is rolling nicely, but still worried about cold temps? About 9am water was 52f, dipped my fingers in there and my god it was cold!!

i think that's too cold. 65 to 68F is where you want to be. i thought i read somewhere that below 60F starts to give problems. might need to pick up an aquarium heater.

i see one more thing to fix. try to find something to cover the top of your netpots to keep light out. panda film cut in a circle with a slit into the middle so you can slide it on and off if needed is what i use. anything will work though. cardboard, etc

I would stay away from 68. We are below 65, plants have never looked better. 63-65. 68 is oft quoted as ideal, but we have found colder is better as have some other larger scale DWC guys.

Keep it up, they look good.

It's all good in the hood. Honestly, if you want to learn more about hydo then jump.over to thcfarmer. A LOT less clowns and some guys with seriously deep knowledge. Some of this guy's are CRUSHING IT with under current systems.
