Rosin yield and.....

Does strength of flower determine the final yield of Rosin? I assume so but just to be clear If I have GG4 at 25% should I be getting close to 25% yield?

I germed a 10 pack of DP Durban Poison seeds. Of the 6 females, not one of them has any yield after squishing. In fact, it's so liquidy I can barely scrape it up.No kidding....the parchment could be in the freezer for days and it's still a pain to scrape up. Can anyone explain the difficulty of collecting the final material? I harvested all 6 ladies at 10% Amber.

that is not how yield works. the quality of the bud,the moisture content, the strength of the press. the temp of the plates. all affect yield.
if it's runny, it's to wet to press, but, you can collect runny stuff by first putting paper on a frozen surface, then scrape up.

Thanks. The flower is most certainly dried and cured properly. The press is a 20 Ton press with 3x5 plates. I press 14 grams at a times.

Even when I put it on a frozen surface it is still very hard to collect.

I keep the temp of the plates at 205-210 degrees. Should I adjust the temp?

I would lower it by 10 degrees and sample press, and continue until you find desired consistency.
also, some plates heat unevenly. I like to leave mine together and preheat for 20 mins. before pressing.

too much liquid would need a higher temp wouldnt it??? im a newb so this is not advice, just a question.

anyone know answer to above?

I always run rosin at 240ish
