Hi,

I just got a gi grow system. (240) Can you give a newbie a hand? :-? I am not sure what type of fertilizer solution to put into the system and the drip schedule. I am planning on using clones. After they root through my grow plugs and I think they can stand being upside down, I am going to put them into the gi grow and let them veg for a week. Then force them into flowing stage. Do you think this will work?

Also if you have any other helpful hints, I would be eternally grateful.

ha thatsw funny...of coarse these things are safe..are you guys retarded? there built in canada and they use maxi tubes... the light is covered by the tube and i never get any drippin on the tube as well..i use run to waist with drippers and only feed what they need and not over that amount...goodluck...im starting another round in about a week or two....stay tuned....
i dunno i heard Canadians are only useful as human shields...or is that black people. I need to catch up on my south park history.

jk im sure a tube over the light would work great. Main advantage with these seems to be the efficient use of light and space...cool stuff.

god dam...i wish i knew somone like me befor i started my grow...so now you ready??? fiirst off... make sure you condition your rockwool...RW is a total bitch to work with if you havent done soo already... dont over water...water once a day topps!! and only aound once..... for 15 dollars they make a digital piggyback timmer at walmart...best thing to use..very simple too.... you can have two on and off times a day if need bee...( for later on) as for nutes...go with Holland secrete line 3 part..they have low salts and that is what you want.....befor you even put the rockwool into the wheel make sure you stack it at least 3 to 4 high and only pull from the top.... as for vegging..it al depends on what strain your running and how mnay plants...the best number is around 80 to 90 % full.. soo i would do at least 200 plants in ..and with 600 digitals or 1000 c&m..... as for the res size a 5 to ten gallon will work... i used a 5 gallon to start off and then switched to a 17 gallon...it would feed the system for at least 4 to 5 days without needing to refill.... make sure u have a ppm meter and a PH.....and amke sure you use the right nutes at the right weeks...my first runn got all fucked up cuz a freind of mine was looking after everything and put in 4 times the required nutes...its closed to killed them all at 3000 ppm..it was bad...soo make sure you be carfull..other then that..its all good..dont worrie about runoff cuz that will never happen...well neway.. i gtg catch some zzzs... pcc

the GIGROW is a nightmare and flimsy with a BS watering system. the rotogrow has got a problem with starting fires. both the BPOD and the Bonsai dont keep their round shape over time and none of these has UL / CSA stickers on them so if you have a fire there is no insurance that will cover anything that happens.

the only one worth spending your good money on and your time is the OMEGA GARDENS and their latest one is really the best one the VOLKSGARDEN. its a one light system that is the right size to go through a person doorway assembled and full of plants so if you ever have to bug out you can do it in minutes unlike any of the others and all the the OMEGA GARDEN units have CSA STICKERS ON THEM MEANING THAT THEY HAVE BEEN TESTED AND APPROVED BY AN INSURANCE UNDERWRITER. Now maybe some of us dont care about that kind of things but i think it shows a commitment by the company that is missing from the others.

once you have the right strain in them these things will change your life, nothing can touch one for yield to watt ratio they are 5 to 10 time what you can do with the same wattage in a flat or tiered system
Yeah don't you dumb asses know anything Your payolla cheque is in the mail. Omegafarmer.....

Hey man, I appreciate this. I'm still setting up and I don't have enough plants to stick in it... :wall:. But once i get a mother going, i'm going to start cloning. anyways, I'm pretty stoked at trying to make this thing work. I was going to try to grow ppp and white widow. Not sure if these are the best, but the buds do smoke well :bigjoint:

I personally have never used one of these...but from the looks of things it looks like this has nothing but positive aspects for you or anyone wanting to use one of these...im just tryin to save some money to do my own testin....personally i like growin big trees not little house plants.....but we shall see in do time.also who cares about some water drippage...the lights are in cool tubes so just wipe the tube down and you are good to go....must be exhausting to wipe down a tube....NOT:clap:

welll your right...if you flood with an omega garden..you would get some serous drip cus your soaking them in water..with a GI grow you only feed them a little amount less then a table spoon at the most.... soo theres very little if none to drip down...
