Round 2! HLG Saber vs Amare SB800 RDWC

Sorry I’ve been slacking y’all. On week 4 of flower now and both sides look amazing. Amare side is once again slightly more full with bigger leaves and imo ever so slightly frostier. HLG side is definitely not slacking tho and doing great, looks a lot better than last time but the traits are still there. Smaller leaves and slightly thinner stems

And here’s today. They’re much more even in performance this time with the slight advantage to amare

Started UVB treatments last week as well. 3x a day for a total of 1 hour right now

This is from day 37. Things are looking pretty damn even this time around. Amare started to bulk up a smidge faster/more than HLG but amares nugs are slightly more elongated this time. Hlg at 700w and Amare at 750w
Both sides getting about 1100 ppfd at the tops

@Mikenike looking real good man ! Did you buy that system or was it a Diy? Really keen on setting a rdwc myself . Are you using a chiller ? Really interested see how that Amare light performs for you .

Hey! Thank you! It’s a diy system with 4gal buckets from Uline and I am using a chiller. Honestly I’m really liking the Amare light. Both lights are great but the buds under Amare look just a little bit better. A little bigger/more full with a more uniform canopy

Here we are around week 6. I’ll be chopping them on the 30th, day 58, because I’m going out of town a few weeks. They look like they’ll be done or close enough by then. Smells like sweet candy with a hint of gas. Both sides look pretty even, much better than last round. I’d say again that Amare is in a very slight lead, slightly bigger nugs, longer colas, thicker stems, and showing just a TAD bit more color. HLG still killing it only being a hair behind
Bringing temps down to around 78-80 now and humidity in check this time, around 50%

At the beginning you stated you have added CO2. What set up you use, and how do you manage CO2 addition in a tent...you know the whole needing a sealed room thing.

I’m using a co2 tank hooked up to an environmental controller, currently trolmaster but before this was Titan controls saturn 6 (which I’m trying to sell now btw lol)
but I don’t run an exhaust or intake during lights on so although not truly sealed, it’s a closed loop and doesn’t waste much co2. i use a big water chiller and water cool my tent with a hydro innovations ice box instead of AC, so all the air in the tent is recycled. Then a dehu of course because humidity is a huge pain with sealed grows

looks like my old gorilla tent, what was that, 5x10? 4.77x10? I can't recall but know I got two (2) 5x5 trays in. PITA too.

Wondering what the deal with Amare and the SBar8 is. How to change tag line? =0=opiate? Say what?

Hey y’all I’m terribly sorry I’ve been such a shitty updater but I chopped and went on vacay to visit/check on some family back in Seattle since things are a little crazy out there still. Here’s some pics from chop day. they've been drying about 3 weeks now since I’ve been gone and they’re all good no grass smell thank god my room was in check.
Amare side has noticeably more color to it But now that they’re dry they look the same. Amare also was noticeably a better yielder. HLG has slightly less leafy buds but also more popcorn down below. HLG has slightly skinnier/longer nugs while Amare is slightly fatter/shorter. Just a hair. Seems pretty consistent with last run I’m definitely an Amare fan. Just wish they were more active on social media.

im moving at the end of the year so I got time for one more test run. Just popped two Mac1 x Gary Payton that I’ll take cuts from the best one

In one of your previous grow journals you mentioned that you were gonna use the Torus Hydro PerfectPH.
I have never read any follow ups and whether you were satisfied with it.
And in this grow report I don't see anything about the Torus anymore.
What happened?

Oh boy! Been awhile life caught up to me. Finally got a final tally for both sides and Amare won again.
Amare 39oz
HLG 33oz, counted mid grade. Had much more popcorn.

here’s the next run all from seed this time in coco/autopots.
