Well we are coming down to the final couple weeks for the hydro.. Just starting to get some nice little red hairs.. They are really getting fat, I cant wait to see what happens in the next couple weeks..
The soilers finally stopped getting more yellow and the buds are fattening up. they are about a week behind or so but the buds are looking nice either way.
Questions and comments welcomed!

They are lookin Great man. :weed:

The soilers look fine, they just tend to leech off themselves more because they dont get that fresh nutrient supply as much as the Hydro. Its one of the things I do like about soil grows, you can really leach all the nutes with less feedings and end up with that fresh soil grown taste.

Your a few weeks ahead of me, I cant wait till mine start really bulking up.

Looking good though man, I cant wait to see what kind of yields you achieve in that set up.

thanks bro.. yea those trainwrecks are SUPER tight i mean like rock hard... when i squeeze em they dont give at all.. they grow kinda viney but the nuggs they do put off are just solid solid solid.. ill bet most of those tops are gonna be 8 grams or more

I feel ya BC.. I have only grown one other time in soil, and that was when i was first starting out just doing my first solo grows bout 4 years ago. Those were from clone and you could follow the 1 feed, 2 water rule..

i kinda messed up with the larger ones because not only do they need to get a stronger dose, but also need to be fed with nutes every watering. I have no doubt that if i would have done this from the get go they would be much larger.. oh well live and learn.

there is truly a hude difference between the yields of soil vs hydro.. the soilers were flowered at double the size, and have had better light coverage than most of the hydro, but still the hydro are probably twice as big.. again this is partially due to the feeding, but mostly due to the hydro.

It will be easy to flush them out though.. when i see the first amber trichs i will give em straight water and molasses and im sure within a week all the leaves will fall off which will make trimmming a breeze LOL..

I will be letting the soilers go another week after the hydro, but am still very excited to see what this round will be considering i didnt have the spider mite problem, and had more plants..

I definitely achieved the wall of green status i was looking for...

Its gonna be a good harvest either way.. im stoked :weed:

What kinda dirt you using?

When I flower I feed full strength Every feeding in promix HP or sunshine mix #4. Both are fairly neutral. I dont feed strait water during flowering unless im flushing other then a couple times while switching products.

I dont water/feed as often with dirt so when I do, they need all the nutes they can get. I find that with hydro nutes in dirt I can push up to 2000 PPM easily.

IMO with dirt you gotta plan out your nute program, go for it aggressively, and stick with it. If you plan for problems it usually goes smoother. People always say dirt is more forgiving, and it is, but why should you need something more forgiving, why not just do it Right.

Hydro just shows signs of problems faster, so if you know what your doing you can get on top of it quicker.

Also just want to make clear Im talking about neutral dirt mediums, not any soil with nutes.

I only like using organic soil for mothers, it just makes it so much easier then mixing up nutes for mothers, just feed strait water in some good veg soil and they grow great.:leaf:

Yeah I dont really wanna start messing with fox farms soils. I always hear such different reviews about their soil. Some people get amazing results and love it, others run into constant problems. I like to keep it simple, neutral dirt/petemoss like Promix HP and just use hydro nutes. Then I can dial it in, givem exactly what they need.

well again i have not used any other soils, but the foxfarms is fantastic from what i have seen. when it is just feeding the plants and i give em straight water, i could not ask for any better results.. but when i gotta feed em i fuck em up cuz im a water boy not a soil farmer haha
