should work good for a little grow box... when you pick it up youll have instuction right on the box and most of those fans will just hook right up to an exstenshion cord. well the fan it self plugs into the box it comes with but normally the plug is just the same as any other plug. so i would just cut the square hole abit smaller then the steal fan box sit it on top of your grow box maybe tape it down and from the inside you will install the white grill. haha if you dont understand what im saying just wait till you pick it up and you'll figure it out. peace darryl

It's not too loud, i can't hear it when i shut the closet door. Not much to post pictures of, setup isn't finished yet and my plants look like shit. Hopefully the new super silver haze i have planted will work out better than my bagseeds.

It's working well, keeps the temps right around 90 when it's just laid on top of the box. I have to get over there with some caulking soon to get that shit sealed up, then it will really start moving air.

glad to see it works for you. so does it just plug into the wall or what? i would have used a 120mm fan. it would make no noise but probly cost you more than 17.99 because of the ac/dc converter you need to run it off a wall outlet.

Yeah I just have it plugged into the main powerbar at the top of my box. It only draws 0.9 amps. This fan is actually fairly quiet, and it's in an isolated part of the house anyways. I'm not really sure where to vent though, it's just in a bedroom closet. I guess I"ll just carbon filter it out into the bedroom. There is an ensuite bathroom next door to it so I guess I could find a way to duct it out the bathroom vent, but the house is rented so I don't really want to get into that.

You could just rig an old computer power supply to turn on when plugged in by crossing certain pins on the motherboard cable. Thats what i have done and my box has bun running fine for a year. Good thing to do i have found is try to still make a intake and outake in a closet but not as enclosed as others would do. Just try to pipe the exhaust air up and out of the box and expel it towards the top of the door while cracked. Just have another fan sucking air in the box or room by the floor of the door crack. Also, you could stick a ionic air purifier or just a air purifier to help with smell. Just if you cant exchange the air or vent it that well just maintain good air circulation and all should be well.
