S.O.S. What is going on?

I have Began growing my first plant outside. Everything was going fine, the climate of the country I am currently in is perfect for outdoor growth (Vietnam), however over the last few days I have noticed some small thorn like growths towards the bottom of the stem. Is this normal? The leaves and the rest of the plant looks fine, just a little worried though as it is my only plant.

Interesting... I have never seen that exactly...

Sometime outdoor plants will get cankers.. and you will see ants and other insects "milking the cankers"

These cankers don't usually kill seasonal plants but they will eventually kill trees, bushes etc...

DO you see any insects taking interest in these bumps? DO any of the other plants in the area have these bumps..

No definitley no insects taking interest. I have a few trees set beside this plant also, and they seem perfectly healthy? Maybe this is some mutant strain? Actually I got these seeds from some cambodian bud that me and my friends smoked a while back. Is this Indica or Sativa?

I have never seen them looking like that before at such a young stage. Keep an eye on them, if they turn green or what ever color your stalk is, I wouldn't worry none because this is natural. If they stay white, could be parasites, or some bug laid it's eggs. My guess is normal part of the bark growth. But Hey I could be wrong!

Hahahahaha. Ok. I am living in Ho Chi Minh City. When will you be in Vietnam next? Do you ever visit the south? Can I kill these eggs some how?

You said you were in Vietnam right? After looking closer, it appears to me almost as if it was growing or trying to grow roots (lol). Vietnam has high humidity. I think I seen that once before when I grew in Key West, just not sure. Was thinking I was told it was due to high humidity because I lived by the coast. Keep us posted. I sure would like to get some pure strains from vietnam, Any Dragon seeds for sale???

I don't get to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) much. I plan on visiting my home when I travel to the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam in 2008. I haven't been back home in 4 years, sure do miss it.

My home is about 3 miles north of the bay along the coast. My wifes parents still live there.

Aaaaaaaaaa, I don't speak the language, but my wife does. I feel like a dummy, Live there but don't speak it (lol) The only thing I know is

Ha means "descending" and Long means "dragon".

ya get to a certain age and have a hard time learning new languages. I'm to old to learn (lol).

So are you Vietnamese or? I am not sure of the Dragon seeds you speak of, because most the pot I smoke here is crap. I am hoping that this cambodian strand which was very very good will be my sanctuary from all the other low quality buds that are for sell out there.

Not sure of another name. Always Known as long seeds (Dragon Seeds). Is a fairly good weed. Not the best but the flavor is great! Indica weed from down south would be my guess.

I'm an American, just went there to visit and fell in love with my wife and the country.

they're roots. cover them up with soil and your plant will stabilize quicker. good luck!

Dear All
I'am just starting in growing my own plant. however i really need some advise from you all...
I currently have:
1. 1- 800-watt MH and HPS dual lighting system.
2. 1- floro lights 2 bars (seedlings, clones)
3. 1- Co2 generator
4. 1- ozone generator ( smell/air cleaner)
5. 1- regular fan
My grow room is about 5L x 4W x 7 tall
my major problems is that i have to keep the closet closed. but there are
no vents or window in the closet. does any of you have any suggestions on
what to do to keep tempreture down? (should i get a smaller light?)
or will the fan be enough?
i'am planing to grow about 15 plants per rotation. i will have 2 stages.
please help i need to set up in a month

Great I just got home from work and I got a posotive answer, "roots". Ok So I covered them and definitley the plant seems much stabler already, like it could have used soil there anyway. Great, now I hope the little gal will set foot.

Duh.......... That's what it was when I lived in Key West, I knew I saw that before (Roots).

Some cambodian strands can be very great weed to smoke.

If you would like I can send ya some seed of Super Bud, I have a few left over! I would never chance sending to anyone here in the states. To risky! But Vietnam, no worries there! If so just send me a private message. I'll use the white rubber gloves and send them virtulally undectected. I send stuff back to my wife's parents all the time, just not seeds (lol).
