Salt on pen?

I bought a blue lab pH pen and I got this in the box. They said there is salt on there and that I shouldn't be worried. Should I be worried?

I would just follow the instructions and tests in a solution that you know the ph of. If it’s wrong contact them and they should replace it

That salt is the KCL solution

Buy KCL solution, and the cleaning /calibration kit (the bottles not the tiny packets)

Rinse it after each use, and store in kcl solution to preserve the longevity of the probe. Buy the cleaning kits and clean monthly. The meter will be a great tool , but if you don't calibrate everything you do will be off
