Apparently, you haven't looked at the issue, in spite of the thread. Allowing gays the same legal rights when married as is given to everyone else (including all sorts of perverted heterosexuals) will not make anything different as to what goes on behind closed doors.

this is exactly what happened at the hearings, the gays kept throwing out all these lame "reasons" they should have the right to be married. the justices kept saying "we need legal issues addressed, not opinions". they just don't get it. never will.

The phrase "All men are created equal" is arguably the best-known phrase in any of America's political documents, since the idea it expresses is generally considered the foundation of American democracy

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

It would seem that some men are more equal that others especially since they thrive on denying others their pursuit of happiness that is the bases of our countrys constitution.

Here in the small country where I live, there are no "known" faggots. It's not an issue here, it's never even brought up in general conversations here. I personally believe that most people who claim to be gay are not gay at all. I think it's a "fad". A lot of sick society pressure put on people who are weak minded to start with. They have no life, a low self-esteem and a great need for attention.

Generally, when we as a society make laws, we should be able to point to damage or harm that will come from the action or behavior that we are outlawing.
Stealing is illegal, because if it weren't, people would just take our shit. Certain laws cross over into questionable areas, like the prohibition of marijuana, which we all here probably agree that the law is unjust since we can now point to actual evidence, showing low to no harm. This information is important in helping society decide whether to continue this prohibition. If society says, we are right, marijuana is not harmful, then society will decide to lift these restrictions.

Now, why haven't the opposition been able to point to any particular harm that will occur from allowing gays to wed? If you cannot point to any damage or harm, then it should not be restricted.

Anyone here that is opposed to same-sex marriage, can you please provide a reason for restricting it?
Please, let's stay away from religious reasons like homosexuals are sinners, or appeals to tradition. Please point out, real, actual damage to others that will occur from allowing Fred and Bob to get the same legal rights as a married couple as Janet and Ted.

Please explain how recognizing gay marriages will effect the spread of HIV. Please explain how legally recognizing monogamous, committed relationships between gay couples (which btw, will continue to happen regardless of how this turns out) has anything to do with AIDS.

But they're still treated like everyone else. Like everyone else, they can marry a person of the opposite sex. There is no artificial distinction made for them based on their sexual preferences.

Your use of the above phrase is incorrect.

They are being treated equally, they are being accorded no more privileges than any one else, and if they wanted to they could easily marry a person of the opposite sex.

But, (this is where the fallacy of your argument comes in), people like you think they should get an exemption carved out for them that allows them to marry people of the same gender.

Seems that your arguments are beating you in the face. You really should try avoiding falling on your own knife intellectually.
