basically?

it's a bucket of decomposing material, hence a lot of respiration and CO2 produced, which is pumped out via the airpump on top of the bucket, and the air released through a tube attached to a fan.

It really does work, and best part is, it's organic ;)

where can i get that?

Yo sandmonkey, your buds look sublime.

Ever consider sticking an air hose from that set up into your water res for a few hours? I honestly have no idea how that CO2 pump is made up, but a $20 airpump will do the trick. I think if you do that before you mix in the beneficials, you will see evidence of a happier microherd, and that means less nutes to use and less to flush. If you're not using RO water then it helps with the chlorine too.

Your nute selection tell me that you are really respectful of your plants and their food - good on ya mate! Could you post a root shot after the chop? That would be epic - I am working alot with a happy soil food web, and until my own grow gets off the ground I gotta ferret around other threads for my 'research' haha

Haha ya I basically used aerated water once (friend's last grow) and it wowed me - just keep an eye on pH - it can rise a bit.

Can't wait for the SAGE smoke report and the A+ bud porn!

EDIT: Sorry about any confusion with that CO2 pump reference, I basically mean pumping air through the water AACT style.

Yep, what I am saying is to pump air through the water before watering, even if you're gonna mix nutes pump some air through first.

This works best in a good aerobic soil with an existing microherd.

I did this with a friend's Dutch PP water only grow in organic soil, I would say about 80% of waterings were aerated at least 6 hours beforehand. We didn't have a control to judge it against, but the plant grew so beautifully!

The process is similar to AACT really, main diff is that you don't grow the microbes in the water, you just help em out in the ground.

Well it's day 69 of 12/12 and I still haven't chopped anything :(

Here's one of the Soma:

and the lanky Sage'n'Sour with easily 2-3 weeks to go:

These girls better hurry, 'cause I've got some Bubblegum and Jack Herer (RIP) ready to flower in a week or so:

+REP looking awesome!! I love this journal, I can't wait to see if the leaves turn red or not!!
Do you know the ppm the co2 boost is putting off??

No idea about the ppm, but for the scale of my grow it definitely works! I've never bigger buds and calyxes this pronounced. The trick is to make sure the output tube end is above all the plants, as CO2 tends to "sink".

Day 73 of 12/12 and i just chopped one of the 3 Soma's :D

I'm letting the other two go a few more days, but still, I'm happy with my harvest so far!

Here's the plant i cut (the other 2 look exactly like it):

cola:

Most I've ever yielded from one plant so far!

My Sage'n'Sour is coming along nicely with maybe another week or two to go. Gonna feed it one more time then flush. It really does smell like Sage!

Any info/advice you have on growing the soma rockbud would be helpful. ie: Is it a heavy feeder? What soil and nutes did you use for the soma?

NICE JOB!!! the fruit is ripe for the picking.....

Do you think the co2 boost did much for yield? I tried co2 boost for a couple grows and could not tell if it did anything. I put the hose right above the top cola. I think it worked.

Thanks guys :weed:

@ BlackBear, the Soma is a typical indica: short and bushy. It's not a heavy feeder but I would give it veg nutes up until 3rd week of 12/12 in lower concentrations each time.

I would also let them veg as much as possible as they're not the biggest yielders for SOG style grows. I let mine veg for 3 weeks (rooted, mature clones) and didn't trim any f the lower branch or top. As you can see all the side branches were quite productive :D
I used the entire BioBizz line (well except for FishMix) plus A LOT of AN Piranha and Tarantula. No point growing organic without some symbiotic friends in the soil ;)

Did you change your CO2 bucket? they only truly last like 7-8 weeks. I feel like it definitely does help. My buds are more dense than in past grows and the CO2 is the only thing that I've changed.

Will you be growing from seeds or clones?

Cool thanks for the low down.

I am going to start somas rockbud from seed purchased through attitude. 10 pack regular Original breeders pack. My plan is to pick the best plant to be a mother. So even though my chance for a male is high, on the other hand i have a chance for a strong mother. When i get around to starting them i will post pictures.... unfortunately not for a while though because i got some other stuff going right now. But when i do it will be organic. I feed with homebrewed compost tea. Don't let "homebrewed" fool you. This stuff is powerful.

I did change my CO2 boost buckets every time. The bucket lasts like 60 days right? So i would start it at about week 1 of 12/12. I think they did what they were designed to do. Promote more profuse foliage and faster growth. Peace

DAY 81!!! AND THEY'RE STILL NOT DONE!

The Sage'n'Sour I understand, but the Soma's???

Here's one of the remaining 2:

cola:

side bud:

If i honestly knew they were gonna keep putting out new growth and take this long I wouldn't have flushed so early.

thats crazy how the bud is actually covering up almost all the leaves...how do you know when new growth is stopping? its so hard to tell :

Nice grow man, mad props. If ur looking at a heavy yielding indica, try Critical #47, (Mr Nice Critical Mass x Unknown AK-47) its 80% indica and finishes in roughly 55 days, all fem too. from positronics, which is an old school brand from the original guys that made holland what it is today, read up on its history. This is the strain i plan on growing next, cuz its sould without a doubt have some monster, tasty buds and pretty quick too.
