just got back from work, checked on the lil guys.. they are all reaching straight up now.. . curling their leaves together.. the stalk is not stretching so i dont think its because i moved them from the lights, or is it? before it was just the 2 bigger ones but now all of them.. the temp is back to 100 again though.. so maybe heats doin it??.. i need to get this thing squared out or there gonna fry up huh? i will be putting some pics up in a hour or so..

today i the plants are lookin alot better.. the temps down to 90.. but thats better than 100... but i accidentaly knocked over a cup that had some dried up soil in it when i was watering and i when i cleaned up the mess i noticed it was full of little bugs.. they looked like ants at first but now it looks more like a termite... they are only in the dried out old soil from what i see.. hope theyre not in the pots!@! can someone tell me if these might be spider mites? can u refer me to some images that show spider mites that resemble a termite? are termites harmful? ants? i googled spider mites and it had like 200 images of different spider mites but i couldnt find one that looked like this.... its like a tiny ant with a beige butt lol..

the pics of the plants i saw, they looked happy with their leaves stretched upwards to receive more light. but at temps of 100 maybe you will have issues of herms later on or other heat related issues. i dont know if you vented the veg chamber yet but it might help. i am sure you will figure something out cuz you seem like macgyver lol. r.i.p-odb haha

theres a ghetto rig ventilation on the veg chamber.. its diffinately in need of work.. il probably take this weekend to work on it... its basically a 3 inch hole in the bottom and a three inch hole on top with a pc fan suckin air out.. i made a duct out of a box to keep light from glowing out of the back ( that would be obvious )... but the flower room is getting the works.. im shelling out some dough to get the environment as good as i can.. i saved a load on the light (free hps 430w) so that gives me an excuse to spend more on the other stuff :hump: oooo yeaahhhh

Question:
will abusing them earlier in life ( heat stress in veg stage ) cause them to be less productive when i throw them in the HEAVENLY flower room?

ill be putting up pics today.. gotta run to the store and get some batteries..

imo heat stress in veg will give you less growth and in turn when it comes time for flower you will have smaller plants. i am no expert so i could be wrong lol. i guess any time you have too much heat it is not great unless you have 90 degree temps supplemented with co2.

Finally got some workin batteries.. .

- i am going to the hydro store to pick up some General Hydroponics flora micro and flora bloom and use them according to the Lucas formula
N-P-K-Mg ppm ml/US Gallon GH Flora Est [email protected] Est Cost/ResGal 122-99-171-68 7.5M-15B-0G 1251 $0.15
*** ive never applied nutes to soil before so if anyone could tell me how often i use the nutes that would be great...

- they dont seem to be growing very rapidly.. they're 20 days old and cant be any more than 4 inches.. but their sets of leaves are very close together and well formed...

- the temp problem is a little better.. now im in the 84 - 90 range.. i just modified the ventilation a little bit and it seems to be helping... heres some pics of the babies..

----

and now the 2 bag seed....

bad picture.. but trust me.. your not missing much.. i topped it just cuz its always been the class clown type.. always makin me scratch my head and wonder what im doing wrong when its just this jerk off being stubborn..

and then theres this guy::

all of its leaves are round and compact.. it looks like cabbage.. and if u ask me i dont like to think of Cabbage when im talkin about bud... just the WORD cabbage puts a sour taste in my mouth.. anyway .. this lil lady got some junk in her round trunk.. shes a pip sqweek but who knows? maybe under that HPS she will blow up.. heres a ass shot of her

ok first off i made a couple additions to the grow chamber.. i painted the walls white (this made a huge difference appearance wise) cleaned it up a bit and bought some toys.. got the nutes, as well as measuring devices and a digital humidty gauge/thermometer.. oh and some cloning powder/superthrive

------------------
Big Bang... 23 days old... but i feel like they were just born (they JUST started to really show some growth when i added nutes)
------------------

and now.. the bag seeds.... first off let me show u what happened to that knuckle head that i topped... its hard to capture with a camera but where i made the cut there are 4 tiny five fingered leaves developing...

and heres "cabbage patch girl" ... starting to look a lil nicer

try and get those temps down. 94f is way to high. 85f lights on is good.

other than that they look o.k. nice job on the topping, looks like a FIM technique.

thanks bigmike:bigjoint:

yeah im workin on the temperature thing.. ive been monitoring it and it stays under 80 until about 12 oclock to 5 oclock where it tops out at 94... im probably going back off from 24hr light to 18/6 accordingly ( lights out from 11 oclock to 5) this should do the trick, eh?

try putting some frozen 2 liters of water in front of the intake fan. Thats waaay too hot.
You may need to invest in a small A/c unit. or If possible get a fan taking air out of the basement. Seems kind of generally hot in there. You need more air. Hope that helps.

That's a crazy ass setup...inside a dryer. LOL! Very creative indeed. The plants standing straight up happened to me when I was growing inside of a cabinet also. I always noticed it when the lights were on, the temps were high and they wanted water. After I watered them, they would stand up even more and by the time the light went out they were back to normal. I thought it was pretty cool myself. In any case I would say that it's the heat and need for water that causes them to stand up.
