So I'm using Schultz 10-15-10 in my potted plants in my grow box. They seem to be responding to it well. In week 5 flowering and didnt start feeding until week 2 flowering when the yellowing of leaves started to show.

From what I've read others say in older forums and such, I've heard some use it at half power or less, so I'm looking for anyone who has/does use it.

Does it work for you? Do you use it alone or with other fertz? Horror stories? Good experience? Veg only?

Come on tell me your fert story! (Don't tell me to use Fox Farms! That's not what this is about! Thanks for reading! :leaf:)

I have some shultz as well but choose not to use it because they get the N from urea or pee pee instead of nitrates or aluminum sulfate er whatever it is. Its all Nitrogen but I have read many times that the urea based fertz are just cheaper and may not feed as well. Its sounds like the plants may not be using the nutes yet if you just watered, it takes 4-5 days sometimes in soil for the results to show, indeed start off with half strength and a bit more as the plants are mature and should be able to handle more nutes now. Leaves also can drop in flower stage if needed they are getting the food they need from the lower leaves so some people like this as there is less to trim later; however its best to have foliage all the way through as the leaves are what gives the plant energy not the flowers. Others beg to differ but I do not trim my fan leaves unless there is just way to much to bend to allow light to lower buds and branches. Other people say you need to trim all fan leaves to allow the plant to concentrate on flowers. I say leave the fan leaves on and if they yellow slow enough that you have some left at the end then your fine but for now maybe bump the nutes up a bit more on next watering just be careful, if the tips start to burn stop feeding and use plain water next watering so you dont over do it. Its soil so you can always flush with lots of water if you use too many fertz. just take it easy and remember it takes few days sometimes to see what your doing to the plants. Good luck

I actually accidently started my nutes at half strength the first couple times. The container I was using to mix was twice as big as I thought it was. But I am actually currently overfeeding at the moment, just waiting to see the plant react, but she's not, so its getting full strength or just a little more and doing well!
By well I'm saying that in the 3 weeks I've been using it the yellowing on the bottom leaves has slowed significantly. It has not stopped, but I don't expect it to stop since every day I get closer to completion of flowering.
Using something with urea is nothing huge when you think about worm castings and bat guano, its putting creature poop on your plants. So everything good for your plants is icky somehow. I'm not drinking it! Just feeding the plants :) :weed:

right on I am using bat poop myself and I guess it is pretty silly to worry about the pee and not the poop lol anyway sounds like your right on track. Keep it up and enjoy the smoke!!

it should be getting something like 3-15-10 or 5-15-10 but it will only hurt a bit just flower for a week or two longer also the new correct technique to tell wether your plant is ripe or not is NOT by letting plant go until 80 to 90% of hairs are red ACTUALLY all you need to to is go to radioshack get a small handheld 120X microscope(20to40$) notice the crystals on the leaves well there actually NOT crystals but i will say they do look like a mushroom with a stem and a cap on top they are clear in mid harvest and when the plant is ACTUALLY ready to harvest you'll notice the little "crystals" will not be clear but a "MILKY" color.... JUST SET SHIT STRAIGHT,,,,,,ALSO THIS IS NOT MY OPINION BUT THE OPINION OF "JORGE CERVANTES"!!!! 1 LUV

Thanks for clearing that up.... It's been two years since this was an active thread though. I've learned a lot in that time.
