Scrog grow, need help!

Ok so i've been wanting to grow about 8 or 9 plants indoors but have been having trouble with height access, so i figured scrog woudl be the best and woudl also be stealth. I understand the concept of using the screen to spread the buds out over a wide area but i am not sure what size box i would need to grow 8 or 9 plants in this scrog set up. Also, would a 400watt hps bulb still be the best way to go?

I want to make this a really good one so i can jump right into this without problems, once i start the project there will be pics.

Thanks for the helpp

with scrog, u want to use less plants. if u wanted to scrog 8 plants you'd need a huge room, because obviously the plants all grow horizontally instead of vertically. scrog is better with only a few plants spread out everywhere.

ive got 7 plants under a 600w and im tying down all the branches, kind of like scrog but without a screen. so the canopy is all the same. theyre in a baby crib and its gettin cramped for space. theyre only 3 weeks flowering and i know theyre gonna gro a lot more so im thinkin im gonna need more room

true, you dont need that many plants if you use a screen... they will expand to fill the area, they will use every bit of light you give them...

i have a 2.5' x 7' screen that i fill with 6 plants under 2KW...

the more light you have the better - everyone is aiming at 50watts/sq ft... but i think i am close to 100watts/sq ft at the screen... you'll know how bright you want it to be once you see how the buds react to the brightest light... here are a couple pics of my setup

if you get the screen to work right, you will LOVE it... i dont think i'll ever do an indoor grow without one again.

about 5.3 oz avg dried... thats doing 6 plants. but i'm pretty conviced i could get the same overall results with 3 plants... they expand to fill the area, 6 plants end up fighting with each other...

also, that last pic is dutch passion blueberry

wait, you mean 5.3 oz for the whole thing? or per plant? and youre running 2 1000w hps over them or what?

thats per plant... although i dont think i've ever hit a "home run" with this system yet, i change it every time... i should be able to get about 2.5 lbs, but i would say i get about 1.5... i never precicely weigh it, but i jar it up into 1 oz jars, and i get about 1.5 lbs of really nice bud... lots of it i throw into a big bowl and use for baking lots of popcorn nugs i dont want to manicure.

wow that is a great yield man i dont think i've heard of that much weight coming off of only 6 plants. What size box are you growing in?

its a closet under the staircase in my house... its a split level type house so i have some extra room in there... the screen helps with the yield... so does 2KW - which is way overkill, and i estimate 60% brighter than anywhere on earth at high noon ;-)

the screen i have is 2.5' x 7' so thats the size of canopy i get... i cant make it any wider or i cant fit in the room - lol...

i just started flowering this week - a new batch of blueberries... most of the yield on this one will be coming from 2 monster plants... they each have their own container... i use feminised beans because i dont have room for mothers & clones, i put in 7 beans this time and 5 of them are tiny ass runts, and 2 of them are friggin huge... litterally at 3 weeks veg - i had 2 plants that were each 4 or 5x bigger than the biggest of the other 5... i have 3 ebb/flow containers, and i put all of the "duds" in the middle, they are going to get choked out by the 2 big ones who are already in the screen and reaching over the middle container ;-) but thats a gooood thing..
