Scrog Question

So, i'm trying to plan out a grow room that will harvest every 2 months. Here is a pic someone on the forums created for me of my grow space: View attachment 2342378

I'd like to run a scrog in the flower room, but if i'm veg'ing in a separate spot, then moving them into the flower area, will that make it difficult to scrog? I'm thinking the plants might need to be trained, fim'd, etc. during early stages of veg when the plants are thin and easily bent. I have no experience scrogging, so any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

It's worth noting that the main reason i'd like to scrog is it seems to be the most efficient use of lumens and grow space, so maybe someone has another suggestion as to how to maximize the efficiency and use of space. I'm open to any idea, including switching the setup i have drawn out.

Not really because the screen I use is just from one of those baby door gates. Easy for me to move single plants in veg that are in scrog to the flower room to finish.

I kind of do something similar, you might have to get it timed just right so that You are harvesting just before new batch would hit the bottom of the screen and then the Veggers can go into the main room and sit in veg for another couple weeks to grow through the screen. I try to make sure I start new stuff by around the 5th week of flower or so, whether tis getting true clones into a veg environment or seeds. Looks nice a nice set up by the way, very similar too mine in the main flower room, only difference is both of my screens are against eh back wall when you enter. The Screen i use is almost like green plastic garden fencing stretched out and staple-gunned over a wood frame, I did have to cut some squares out too make the holes bigger.. which was the largest Pain in the ass..Wire clippers made it much easier..( I was more focused on buying the material i wanted and making the hole sizes I wanted)

Edit : Before i put mine under the screen, I top them, i used " Uncle Bens method" last round because i wanted to see how his method would work ( I don't usually cut as low as he does) But it worked fantastic.

So, did you actually get more than one main cola? I had not read about his method before, thanks for shedding some light on that for me! + rep for you, good sir.

I would get nervous making that large of a cut on my plants, but hey...you can't argue with that kind of experience.

I think it worked great, definitely more than one main cola, with the screen plus his topping, I have almost essentially a whole screen of cola's, ill snap some pics if i get a chance

Nice! I would love to see how his method turned out for you.

I didn't scrog in veg because I have to move them to a different room but I thought you were suppose to only do it in flowering?

I guess my understanding of it was that you train the stems to certain holes in the screen during veg, then flip it to flower once all of the screen was full...I have never used scrog tho, so i don't know that for sure.

Here are some of the shots I told you I would take, my screens are about 4 feet by 3 feet and they(2 OG18's here) are in their 4th week. P1020422.JPGP1020423.JPGP1020439.JPGP1020436.JPGP1020425.JPGP1020428.JPG

Scrog is the best way to go in my opinion. Its all about the perfect timing. I let mine veg for too long. I also never take enough off the bottom. I get better though each harvest. My next batch will be better. I love the Cannabis plant. So many ways to grow this beautiful plant. My next batch im gonna try and skip a hole so i get less buds but they will have more room to grow bigger. A good scrog is a beautiful site to see!! SCROG BABY SCROG!!!ok ..that was fun..toke break!!
