ScrOG Screen Question

Hi guys,

When making and fitting a ScrOG screen how far should it be fitted from the lamp. I am using 2 x 250w cooltubes set up as in the picture below. I mean how far will the buds grow through the screen?

Also how big should the squares be in the screen. I was thinking 2" squares.

I'm a week into flower on my scrog (under a 1000watt hps) and I have to continue to tuck new branches everyday with a growth rate of about 1-2" on average a day on the 12/12 cycle.... so yours may be a bit less than half of that possibly an inch a day( if you have a sativa like me).

I used to lay the buds down and attach them to the screen with zip ties. This gives an even canopy. I start the screen about 1/3 full and fill it up the rest of the way as they grow out. I used 2" squares on my screen and it worked well. By doing this, you never have to adjust the light, just continue to tie them down. With cool tubes, you can get them pretty close, 6-8" I would guess. Did you lst your plants? That really seemed to help get a full screen.
