SCROG Screen ( Suspended By Chain ) Materials ?

What materials would you need to make a 4 X 2 SCROG screen? Basically I just want to know what size "screen" to get..I will prolly make the "frame" from the smallest wood ( 1xw/e ) but I cant find the right "screen"..Can someone link to the exact material ( screen/chicken wire etc ) to make a SCROG screen ? I was looking at Lowes.com and HomeDepot.com but cant seem to find the screen I need.. Can someone help me out and post a link to the right size screen from Lowes or Depot ?

I just searched for trellis and couldnt find anything suitable.

I took screws and put them 2” apart all around the square I built of wood, and then raped wire making little squares all the way through. It is easy just to go to the store and just look around.

hey dude,
they are not gonna have a link to an everyday item like that...every store carries it I work at HD and i would suggest going to the Garden Department and ask them for their bird netting/deer fence. that would be best and comes in a roll....

It is really easy, you just have to put it on paper.
1. I first start by ripping a 2x4 into 1x1x4. {I make two of them}
2. I then rip another 2x4 to 1x1x3. {I make two of them}
3. Next I screw them together into one big square
4. I then take drywall screws (anything will work as long as it is at least an inch long.) and put them 2” apart from each other all the way around in an even row.
5. I next get a hard wire or even a heavy duty string would work
6. I rap the wire (or string) good and tight (not to tight you still want to be able to move them do one side to the other side first, and then do the other side.
7. When you are finished you will have 2” squares throughout the table.


I prefer 2” because it gives the leaves and all that enough room to grow around one another smaller makes it too tight.
If you go to my grow journal you can see tables that I have custom built for scrog grow, and it has been more successful than I could have ever wished for

Had the same problem as you. The pic below is the screen i made outta pvc pipe and wire that I picked up at home depot. The wire I got there to use for th screen was not on their website.

Just go to the nearest HD store, and go to their gardening section. Hanging somewhere in a green packaging they will have "Garden Training Wire". It's green wire that comes in a roll (I forget how many feet but I used 2 packages and filled my 2' x 2' screen.

Sorry for the lack of link but they don't post that simple stuff on their site.
