ScrOG / Training

Is scrog the same thing as the "spiral" training I've heard of? If so, am I doing this right?

I bend the stem over and allow it to grow back up to the light (stem bends and makes a SORT OF L shape). See pic.

Is this a good start? Or do I now bend it in a different direction? Wish search worked haha.

In the FAQ section they show you all you need to know it's under growing methods and mediums then click on Screen of Green.

HELP!!!!!!! Our plants grew so fast overnight and are already budding (at about 6 inches, they are white dwarf autoflowering). I need to know if we can tie them down at this point or if it's too late? We have a PC planter and I am afraid the light will burn them if they get too high (no pun intended). HELP!!!!!!

I tried the spriral method but abanodoned it once I switched to flower...I had so many side branches it was next to impossible to keep the spiral going. I also cracked a mainstem--but it didnt really phase the plant. These are the ones I tried the spiral method on.
