This is my official second grow i played around with some outdoor stuff this summer but didnt really get anything to cool. I got a hold of some amazing clones, Kandy Kush, SSSDH, Maui Wowwie, Sour Diesel, Banana OG, Chemdawg 91, Purple Urkle, Lavender Kush, Pot of Gold, And Afgooy.heres the set up
Im growing in the closet which is 2 x 3 x 6 and that will be for the mothers and clones. Then there is my flower box which is 3 x 3 x 7
The mothers box will have 80 cfm intake with 100 cfm going out.
Flower box will have 150cfm in and 300 cfm out going into a carbon scrubber
Mothers box
1 150w agrogro cfl bulb
2 42w warm cfl (for a equal spectrum)
i will be using PBP nutz their whole line
Moms will be in 3 g Hempy buckets
Flower Box
400hps
2-3 42w warm CFL
and i will be using adcanced bud line up (big bud, Overdrive, Bud Blood
1 G Hempy Buckets
I just put them in on sunday so they are all getting aclimated to the light cycle and everything else.

One the Afgooy for some reason has completely wilted and looks very sad, i checked for over watering and since they are in Hempy buckets i looked everything looked alright i dont know what to do.
PH is at 6.3 from run off (im getting it down)
PPM is 400 when i feed and 200 when it is reg water
Enjoy!!!

still have the same problem with the afgoo and the kandy kush severly wilted which is kinda upsetting. I started building the flower box that i plan on making i cant decide if i should use just one 400w in there or use both my 400w MH and 400w HPS at the same time in the flower box. And use CFLs for the mothers and clones. If anyone has any input that would be appreciated. I decided to keep the Maui SSSDH, and the Urkle for mothers to get my perpetual going.

I dropped the lights to about 20" today and the plants are starting to look really good. The Kandy Kush is sadly dead but the Afgooy has made a full recovery. I was wondering for additives what would be the best for flowering. I know millions ask this question.... if it helps its between advanced nutrients and humboldt county gravity. If anyone has any previous knowledge of either im sure someone on here does. PICS are coming soon!@!!!!

I have the light down to about 16" i think thats as low as i can go with out causing heat stress. This week the nutz are going up to 700ppm. Some of the bigger plants have ghad growth spurts but in a negative way( really tall with low amounts of nodes). Any one have ideas.

If i dont have any reponses im just gonna kill this journal, cause no one seems to care unless you have flowering plants or tons of money in equipment.

Damn, I had this awesome huge reply written and the internet went out and it got eaten.

Here's the Cliff's Notes version:

More lights is always better. Always. You could probably finish your grow with those lights but your plants are going to be tall, stringy, and basically look like sticks. You need a lot more light, by at least double. Personally, I'd say what you have is good enough for 1 or 2 plants at the most. Mylar will help here, but it won't quadruple your lights.

So, mylar, at least double the lights, oh - and turn them sideways. You can tie fishing line to the end of the bulb and then tie a loop in the electric cord to tie the other end of the fishing line to so that the bulb is held up laterally. CFLs put out a crapload more like to the side than the end.

Honestly, I'd just recommend building a cheap reflector. Use something that won't catch fire under the mild heat from a bunch of CFLs, line it with mylar using double-sticky tape (carpet tape is good for that) and call it good. I've done that kind of thing just tying the bulbs to the reflector with heavy test fishing line. Pain when you have to change a bulb, but quick to build. Make sure they hang down an inch or so from the reflector just to help with the heat.

The stretching is from not having enough light. There's stuff you can do to make shorter plants, but none of it will do much without enough light. Check into LST, but the light has to be there.

As far as flowering additives go, get Big Bud. Nothing compares, and that's the best advice I have for that.

well i was thinking of putting 800w in the flower box i figured that would be enough for atleast 6 big plants i want to try to get atleast 2-4 oz per plant. i know that there is alot more to yield than just lights but i think i have the the nutrients down pretty well, and ill have close to 300 CFM for circulation inside the tent. do able?

It definitely doable, but it depends a bit on what you're referring to when you say 800w. If you mean 2 400w HPS then yes, you'll have plenty of light.

If you mean eight 100w equivalent CFLs (which means 184w actual) then you might have trouble getting enough weight.

On the other, other hand if you're talking about 800w actual CFL power which would be something like 2500w equivalent then I just have one thing to say:

I want to see some pics of that monster CFL system. That would be very, very cool.
