Second Indoor grow, let me know what you think....

This is the result of my second attempt at growing indoors, I think the girls came out good but there is definatley room for improvement. I thought I would just give a quick rundown of what I used and did and things I plan to change for my next grow and see if you guys and gals could provide some feedback. I am very new at indoor growing and I think I ran into every problem under the sun during this grow.

First Equipment: (2x) Platinum P600 LED Grow LIghts
(3x) 4ft 2 bulb T5 lights
(2x) 6 inch inline fan, one for intake with Phresh Filter, one for exhaust
(1x) Small Fan to blow air around
(1x) Temp and humidity monitor
Soil: Miricle Grow Moisture control in five gallon fabric pots
Nutes: General Hydroponics MAXIGro and MAXIBloom
Seeds: 3x Nirvana Northern Lights, 1x CBD Crew CBD Therapy (Back right in pics)

I used the "manifolding" or "main-lining" method during this grow, seemed to produce many nice thick buds. But again I am relatively new to this.

Things I am going to change for next grow: Use Fox Farm Ocean Soil with a 25% mix of perlite, change nutes to Fox Farm Grow Big and Tiger Bloom. I was not to happy with the general hydroponics nutes as I had multiple cases of nute deficencies or burns...not sure, probably my own fault though...Also go to try and get a handle on the gnats that pop up in my soil early. Lots of those bastards near the end of my grow, hence the yellow stickies. I have attached a few pics as well, any feedback would be appreciated. I was an avid reader of these forums leading up to and during my grow trying to figure out problems and solutions so thank you all. Looks pretty good. Clean your tent out with bleach and all your equipment to avoid gnats on your next round. buy some recharge and water that in your soil to increase your microbial colonies. other than that you can add co2 to increase results. My question to you is, what kind of genetics did you use?

Thanks for the tips, I was worried how to get rid the the gnat problem and regarding the genetics I used Nirvana feminized seeds and CBD Crew feminized seeds.

Plants look very nice. As for gnats lots of soil comes with free gnat larvae. Mix some DE Into soil when you put it in pot. Also when soil is dry put so DE on top of soil.

Thanks lio lacidem, I will look into getting some DE. Do you think I will have less of a problem when I switch to Fox Farm Soil?

btw, dont use the same cloth pots or soil. start fresh it will cost you a few bucks but will give you peace of mind. also if you havent bought soil yet try Roots organic 707. Very clean soil with low nuts.

For fungus gnats, nothing beats azamax!! Once they start popping up, hit em with a watering of azamax, put an inch or 2 or perlite on top (also helps with water retention) and it seems to take care of the lil bastards real well!!! Ive had em thrice, first time ruined my first 3 months of growing, second 2 I knocked out in less than a week!!

I thought I could use the same pots as long as I washed them well, like in the washing machine then dried them out? And thanks for the soil recommendation, I havnt gotten soil yet so I will look into Roots 707...

How long did you veg for?

Pretty solid looking buds for your second grow @Myles05. Thanks for sharing!

Make sure to target the pH range for 6.5-6.8, so that your plants won't miss out on any nutes.

How did your girls end up smelling and tasting?

Stop purchasing Fox Farm soil. That's where your gnat problem stems from. I had the same issue, and did a little research and discovered it was the soil. I changed the soil and rid myself of gnats.

On this grow I vegged for about 2 and a half months, girls ended up smelling and tasting pretty good. Got a lot of compliments from my friends and family. The grow I just completed, my third grow, I used Fox Farm soil and had zero problems with the gnats. I did pre preemptively put out my yellow gnat catchers at the very beginning of my grow, so im sure that helped. I continue to struggle with my pH range and nutrient uptake, especially during the transition to flower...
