second indoor grow

well the wife was telling me to build me a new grow area. says she wants me out of the cloest. ha ha so i'm figuring up the lumber that i need this morning. i bet she changes her tune when i show her what all i have to have. she thinks it is just the lumber, i tried to tell her it will be lights, fans, and a good filter. i have a out building that at one time had a heater in it and has the exhaust pipe still there. i can get a 6" inline exhaust fan and let my exhaust leave through it. if i do this it will be a lot more room where i could get some mothers and start clones. hell my mind is running away with this one. i need to make sure but i believe the building is 10' x 14' on the outside, and i have thought about the whole building too. i have a 110 volt a/c for the summer and i have electric heaters for winter, so my mind is a racing.

Have you looked into those grow tents? They come in a lot of sizes and are way cheaper and easier than building a room (although I would love to do that cuz it would be fun as hell). I think I'm gonna upgrade my wardrobe closet to a tent in a few weeks.

really haven't looked at the tents, i have lumber such as 2x4's, i just don't have the plywood. i have to get a exhaust fan, and i don't believe my homemade carbon filters will work for a bigger system, so i have to get one, pretty much in the same either way. i really think i could come out cheaper when i can just build a wall with a door.

she has now, but says it would be better. she's afraid of the smell, the other day i had to change the carbon in the filters because she could smell it but i couldn't. next day in from work and she tells me it worked, so about three months on the refills, might make it two just to be on the safe side. bad part is this batch is not that strong of a smell till you touch it.

i cut the top buds off tonight. if you looked straight at them they where clear and cloudy with a amber one here and there, if you looked from the side then all of them where amber looking. i got old eyes and i'm using a 40x and 60x loupe, and it is still hard to tell real good. i'll try to get a weight. i know it won't be much but the trimmings worked ok, more sativa style buzz.

i rechecked the weight today and i already lost a 1/4, so i put it in a jar. i got to looking and some of the nugs are the same way. straight it was a slight cloudy but from the side they where amber, so i got the rest cut and laid out drying. i figure a little under a zip all dried. i remember getting a lb and sometimes close to two per plant from my out door stuff. so i got a ways to go.

wife and i tried some last night and i was surprised. it was a good body and head buzz lasting about 4 hours, where i just chilled and watched tv. it is going into the jars tonight. can't wait for the cure.

great first grow! I had this same problems of over/under watering on my first attempts. Soil with perlite really made the difference on my current grow which is also the first run that makes it to the flowering phase. lol
