It would be interesting to know if any of you knew that making marijuana illegal in the USA would be unconstitutional. They got around this with the marijuana tax act... .. Making a substance illeagal for us to consume is against the constitution.. that's why its not illegal to consume marijuana but only to posses, grow, and distrubute it... Fighting a senseless war on drugs is a total waste of money... if Ron Paul would have been elected president then he would have stoped this stuipd war.

By getting free health care this would mean that we would be socialist. Socialism is not the way to grow.. i mean go. I do agree with everything except the free healthcare... We are all old enough to take care of ourselves.. we should not rely on the government to take care of us... we can all see where that has taken us..

First off, the federal income tax is unconstitutional, so you shouldn't be paying them to begin with. Nobody should. But they would be a hell of alot worse if they went toward healthcare for everyone. Second, health insurance is not a guaranteed right, nor should it be. Some just can't afford it. However, we already have welfare programs for those in need. Medicare, medicaid, the WIC program for expecting mothers without coverage. It's a service and you get what you pay for. Besides, this government can't do anything right. Why in the hell do you want to trust your healthcare to them?!?

This guy is right about the Federal Income tax being unconstitutional. I just gave a speech the other day on this subject. When i told the audience that there is no federal law stating that we must pay this tax (meaning we really do not half to pay the tax... its optional) and when i told them that the 16th amendment was not properly ratified... they all droped there fucking jaws to the ground.. i told them that this federal income tax was a big hoax... did they listed.. probably not because there head is up there ass and they believe anything they hear on the damn news channel

I didnt say I agree with taxes or trust our healthcare. I heal myself. I do not pay all my taxes either. I do not expect the government to manage my money or take care of my health but they take my money anyways with no help. Even players take care of their hoes....... not sure if you will understand that.

The healthcare in this nation is really the best in the world. That's why if a pair of twins in a foreign country are joined together at the eye socket, they come here to be separated. It's just expensive. But like I said, you get what you pay for. If the govt. takes over healthcare the quality will decline.

it's hardly the best in the world....

maybe more advanced than third world countries, but hardly best...

anyone against public health care is either making 6 figures or working for a company that provides health care.

A family of 4 would require 1 person to work between 3 and 4 months a year to cover the cost of family health care. You don't want public health care? Make that number reasonable.

I didn't say it was the cheapest, just the best. The price of insurance can be brought down and made affordable simply by loosening the restrictions and regulations so that smaller companies can do business and compete with the few insurance corporations that exist in this country.

don't remember anyone saying "you said it's the cheapest"...

My argument is that we are not the best.

What's your beef with public health care? No one is saying you can't keep private health insurance if public health care in instituted.

First, you're talking about another govt. program to add to the long list of other failed ones. The govt. can't do anything right. The private sector is better at everything. Second, we already have healthcare programs for those in need, i.e. Medicaid, Medicare, WIC, govt. subsidised community health clinics, etc. Most pharmaceutical companies have access programs for those who can't pay for meds. Third, there's really no need to. Healthcare insurance costs can be brought down easily to a more affordable level without another failed govt. program. More govt. is really not the answer. The more control you hand over to the govt., the less you have.

Do you really have that much faith in our govt. officials?

Exactly. Whether they realise it or not, most people don't seem to really want to live in a free society. There are lots of risks and no guarantees. They'd rather be taken care of. I just keep trying to say, we can do it ourselves. We don't need more big brother.
