If that piece of sheet passes, were all doomed. Definately sounds like an overregated commercial style grow to me. One where there is also a ton of inspections where they can't wait to start slapping $500-1000 fines around, to be added to the general pharmaceutical grade marijuana fund, whatever the hell that is. What a horrible name to try to impose on patients looking for a healthy natural approach, unlike having anything to do with pharmaceuticals! We have some real scumbag leaders in this state! Our attorney genetal has mega stock in Dow. I'm sure that he'd be happier if everyone only uttered the word "pharmaceutical".

This will pass and we all know it deep down. It's what they are after. there are no profits to be made when you allow the people to heal them self.

SEC. 8411. (1) THE SALE, PURCHASE, AND USE OF
17 PHARMACEUTICAL-GRADE CANNABIS IS ALLOWED IN THIS STATE TO THE
18 EXTENT THAT THEY ARE CARRIED OUT IN COMPLIANCE WITH THIS ARTICLE.
19 AN ELIGIBLE PATIENT MAY ACQUIRE, POSSESS, AND USE PHARMACEUTICAL-
20 GRADE CANNABIS AS PRESCRIBED IN THIS ARTICLE UNDER A VALID
21 ENHANCED PHARMACEUTICAL-GRADE CANNABIS REGISTRATION CARD.

so does that then turn every cardholder now into a criminal when the new system starts?

oh god... this could be bad.

all i can say is e-mail your reps and senators people.

All of us could chip in a 20 and still not have enough to buy a vote back for the people. This state has been breakin my heart for a little while now. I have lived all over and I still have a great deal of Michigan pride but man, some times my zen thing gets tested and it makes me want to go hermit out on a mountain somewhere where I feel less like my government is trying to piss us all off enough to leave so they can use this place to do what ever they want. I need to do a bong rip...

Let's take this laying prone on our bellies.
Like always.

10 years ago I started growing with no state, local or (of course) federal protection for a minute here I thought I had some local and state protection, now I don't see it that way BUT and it's a huge BUT I'm not stopping not then not now. Over grow isn't done.

Looks to me like the bill was just introduced so dispensarys wil have a state model to go by and state rules to go by dont read that it will be affecting the little to medium guy much, and big pharma wont get into this till its declassified as a schedule 1 under fed law, so no worries yet for big pharma coming in what do you guys get from reading this bill

"pharmaceutical grade cannabis" the stuff that must meet certain standards as in the law.. will be schedule 2! and our marijuana included?

(2) MARIHUANA AND THE SUBSTANCES DESCRIBED IN SUBSECTION
21 (1)(D) AND (E) ARE SCHEDULE 2 CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES IF THEY ARE
22 MANUFACTURED, OBTAINED, STORED, DISPENSED, POSSESSED, AND USED IN
23 COMPLIANCE WITH ARTICLE 8 OR ARE OBTAINED, STORED, POSSESSED, AND
24 USED IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE MICHIGAN MEDICAL MARIHUANA ACT, 2008
25 IL 1, MCL 333.26421 TO 333.26430.

and what little to medium guy? -all your local officials need to do is deem ANY caregiver home to register as a pharmaceutical grade cannabis production center or keep doing what they are doing and make the current program null and void ...well i dont have 1500 to register, to pay for testing, a laywer, someone to keep all of my books. etc

you do realize this creates a WHOLE NEW PROGRAM.

your current card would not be the same as an "enhanced pharmaceutical-grade cannabis card"

To me, it sounds as if the self grower will be ok..so the "little guy" may not suffer. But the "care giver" is fuc@ed.
It's hard to read this government written stuff, but I think they are just setting guidelines for commercial grows..A patient would still be able to grow their own.

It sure does shoot the guy that wants to be a caregiver for a living in the ass...unless he jumps through the hoops..

You mean all caregivers would have to grow pharma grade weed and get inspected and shit?
I'd sure like to know more about whatever this means.
Does it hurt me? Does it hurt the little Caregiver? Does it change anything for us if we choose not to deal with Dispensaries?

Tom where did you hear about the 1500 dollar fee? ive heard that before a 1500 tax per patient on caregivers, and it doesnt look like a whole new program to me just an add on, some of the wording is confusing to the layman.

I think it would only apply to selling overages to a dispensary. The guy growing for himself, or small CG would be fine...except that any "overages" would have no legal home.

So the guy with say 2 patients, that was using all 36 plants (including his 12) either has to pony up with all the regulations, or he can't sell to a dispensary, or at a market. But the guys that are selling under the table anyhow..nothing changes except they have even less defense if they get busted.

As far as patients buying from a dispensary, they actually benefit some. The get meds that are tested, clean, and marked for potency...that's a good thing.

Okay - I hope you are correct Bob - that doesn't really bother me then I suppose.
If I had a vote on it I would oppose just because it only serves those sucking political dick and screws the little guys.
But as long as my little garden is okay then I really don't care.
