Seed Germination problem

Hi everybody i am having problems germinating.I put them in a film canister(with water) in the water heating place.Wait for them to sink they all sink.but not all germinate.I dont get it.Last time i did that.All of them germinated.This is from the same seedbank and same strain.Only variables where I waited for longer before i tried to germ them.Also i put them in the freezer first.Then putted them in the fridge.But i have also noticed that it helped them germ a bit.My first tr without putting them in the fridge non germinated.After that 3 germinated.

So any advice on how i should i germinate it and stuff like that.I read that if they dont germinate they are still dormant.But the seeds sunk so im wonder if i should dry them out or not.

personally, i get almost 100% germination just using the paper towel method. the only problem i've had is when i let the paper towel dry out. why go through all of the additional steps if the basics work?

Yeah the wet paper towel in between some dishes works for me every time. Never heard of using a film canister filled with water, sinking them, freezing them, refrigerating them. Sounds like you are stressing the hell out of them.

I have germinated using this method, But i just used a cup of water. Someone told me the ones that sink are no good and those ones never germd only the ones that floated did.
