seed not germinating

i have my Nirvanna short rider seed in a wet paper towel in a plastic bowl on a propagator its been 7days now and nothing, do i throw it away??

7 days is quite a long time, but not unheard of. It can take 2 weeks for a seed to sprout for an old bean, but a fresh one from Nirvana should sprout in a few days.

put a fresh seed in a shot glass of room temp water (80F or higher) If your room isn't 80F, then place the shot glass on your modem, router, etc. Let the bean sink (12-24 hours), then place in moist paper towel in a cup and set on modem. Within 12-24 hours, a taproot will show, now it is time to plant.

its my last seed what should i do with it though, should i but it in a shot glass aswell or throw it away

You can try it, if it sinks immediately then take it out. This means the seed has already cracked and is ready for the taproot to come out. It needs a dark, warm, humid, moist environment though to germ.

Also, do what Rob suggested, check your pH, or use store bought water.

yess it sunked right to the bottom, should i replace the paper towel or leave it
