Seed Production. A Tutorial

    Thank you Faded, for teaching us new things, and for corroborating my conjecture on a few points...that was satisfying.
    But not as satisfying as successfully, selectively pollinating one branch on a girl. I flowered her out until very ripe, looking more for a couchy effect, as I didn't expect my pollination experiment had worked.
    Twelve seeds dropped out as I trimmed her after drying the entire plant.
    In nature, these seeds would get moistened when they hit the ground, and germinate immediately, so I followed that cue, and soaked them immediately in coconut water (from a fresh coco not a can). White root tips appeared the next day. 5 of 6 beans popped and are growing well.
    I'm a long way from selecting traits and developing strains. But I'm thrilled to have seeds because they are expensive and risky to buy! An it's nice that these were a "home birth". Thanks again for sharing your vast and comprehensive knowledge
