Seed Question

I received some AK48 seeds from Nirvana and began germinating 2 of them 5 days ago. I started them off in a cup of water for 18 hours and transferred to FFOF. 1 of them sprouted and is doing great. The second one i'm not sure about. It almost seems like the root is growing up? I thought they pushed the seed up and cotyledons out. If the root is growing up, should I attempt to fix it or just leave it alone?

Well I did it.. used a business card to excavate it. Turns out I planted it the right way and it still grew up on me... The root was under direct sunlight for a good 12 hours, do you think its still ok? I replanted it slightly sideways so hopefully it chooses the right way this time. Also I left the seed a little uncovered. Hopefully this will encourage it to grow up.

It should be O.K. these are pretty hardy plants, even in seedling stage, as long as they don't damped off.

I would suggest you let your medium dry - it looks soaked.

I just watered it

I'd imagine that one you flipped will pop out tonight or tomorrow morning. Keep us updated. But you should be fine . Cheers.

I've been keeping the seed portion a little damp to soften it up. This puts the seed almost a week behind the other one now...
