Seedlings need something. What?

Hello Pro’s

my seedlings are day 8. Grown in a pod. I placed pod inside of a starter mix with perlite. Coco. And peat. No nutrients have been given. Is it time to startnutes? I thought the cots gave all nutes until transplanted.

IMO they are growing very slow. I will move outdoors soon. They are inside under LED 18/6.
Do they need N?

Separate the mutants. There are so many it’s hard to believe. I thought that was rare but out of nine seeds I have 6 with multiples. There is one with three maybe four seedlings sprouting from one seed.

I read somewhere that the eggshells and bananas provided nutrients and the rabbit poop. I thought it was a way to add nutrients organically. The FFOF is good by itself but I understand you still have to provide during veg. I will be transferring the seedlings from the coco and peat to the FFOF

The ocean forest will have everything they need for probably the next month. It is already calcium rich so you don't really want to add any more. Egg shells and bananas are like a throw in the garden in the summer or fall but it's preparing for the next spring. Rabbit pellets are really cool and actually might be a good option in about 3 to 4 weeks after the ocean forest is used up more.

Just get a bag of fertilizer and add a couple cups to your 20gallons of soil and then a couple more in a month then a couple more about 2 weeks after that and you’ll probably be fine. Dr earth “flower girl” is good but anything similar is fine.

You're loving them too much. They need less than you think especially when using FFOF.

Its also kind of a hot soil for seedlings. But it's workable. I'd recommend starting your seeds off in happy frog, and up potting into FFOF after maybe 3 weeks, and then top dressing after about 3 weeks.

Your top dressing will depend on whether or not you want to stay in veg longer, or flip to flower.
