Seedlings not shedding shell?

I have a couple seedlings that have sprouted and just won't shed their shell. It looks like they're wearing helmets. One of the two is super tall... Taller than any other seedling. Last night I worked the seed off him and he had two green leaves under there. The shell was on there loose. The other seedling is still very short and has a seed helmet. Will it eventually shed the seed or do I need to help it?

I've had that happen a few times . after a few days I got a straiht pin, tweezers and gave it a little help. Be careful not to put to much pressure on those little leaves. One of them had yellow/faded leaves under and it came back fine. others may have a different thought on this. goodluck~

Just some idiot
This seems to happen with all my Blue berry seeds that I ordered, the survival rate is 4/11 for me. I think I got some bad seeds or something. I pulled some seeds off of them and some lived some didn't.Everything else I'm growing is pretty much 90% germ. rate, I heard Blue Berry can be tough but now I just hope I have one female out of the four I have going right now.

Of 15, 14 germinated and of those 14, 9 of them have sprouted to a healthy size with a couple more trying to sprout.

You should be fine as long as when you remove the shell it's loose like you said. I'd wait as long as possible to do anything to the shorter one, because you don't want to rip something off of your new seedling. But obviously it can't stay on there forever.

Good luck.
