Seedlings over watered Please Help!

i am growing an auto in 10 Gal pot, 4 of them are in one pot, starting getting problems due to over watering, i didnt give any nutes yet, lights are 250 MH 20 inch away and 300 watts CFL 5 inches away temps are 75-80, once i discovered that im over watering 1 week ago, i have stopped watering since then and i tried to mix the soil with my hands 3 times a day to get it dry, now its dry 2 inches from top and moist below that, i will not water them until i get it more dry in order for the roots to develop.

but i am afraid that they will get too dry and die out from under watering.

do you think that these plants will make it?

what should i do after ? water with nutes or just normal water,

taking into consideration that i have:

• recharge y real growers
• Subculture B and M
• GH flora Trio
• and some B complex folic acids and humic acids bottle.

your help is much appreciated.

First mistake was putting seeds in a massive pot. You should start them in small beer cups or pots and up pot them as they get rootbound. You will be fighting watering issues for a long time in that size of pot. What is your medium and how much water were u giving them?

medium is some local dirt i got, its just an organic mix,PHed to 6 mixed with 50% perlite, and i haven't watered them since 10 days now, seems hat the initial watering didn't got evaporated yet.

Did you even read the whole post? They are autos so they shouldnt be transplanted. Op did It correct for an auto. Op let it dry then when you water, water til you see runoff. With a pot that size you will probably only water once every 5-7 days at this stage. Let it be they will take off.

i actually don't like autos, but while experimenting with them, i found that if you cut the bottom out of a solo cup, and slit it up the side, you can plant it, start your auto inside that, and pull it out of the way when the seedling takes off. this gives the benefit of up potting, without the danger of root damage from transplanting.
i think your plants will be ok, just remember to water lightly just around them till they start to take off, don't swamp the whole pot

bahahaha he did it correct? wow you should not be giving advice. Water till runoff in a 10 gallon pot of soil? holy cow you are clueless. This is a sure fire way to continue overwatering and kill your seedlings

Seriously? water in a 10 gal pot for a seedling until you get runoff? DO NOT DO THAT!!!! After your soil drys out from too much water already, water just around your seedling a little each day or two, then increase a little as they get bigger. Putting a seedling in a 10 gal pot it will be a bit challenging to water correctly without overdoing it.

Reply he has 4 plants In a 10 gallon pot. So they are spread out I would assume. Now normally I would say get them out ofsame pot and replant but since autos dont lke being moved my advice is good. One plant in a 10 gallon I wouldnt say water till runoff 4 plants in 10 gallons of soil is 2.5 gallons of soil per plant which is what I grew autos in whwn I grew them. Like I originally stated did you read whole post?

The coloring on your plants is poor, there is an issue with nutrient uptake. Hard to say what the exact issue is because you are fucking with them pretty hard with your dirt fluffing. Stop that! Not good for young roots.

Personally, I think that overwatering is actually a function of a poorly constructed soil medium. I can water my soil to runoff every single day if I wish and not see an overwatered leaf structure. With 50% perlite, I have a hard time believing that your initial issue was actually overwatering unless your base soil was really high on clay content.

I'm guessing you don't really have any roots developing on them (maybe a root disease if they were in too much water) or maybe your soil was a seedling mix because they are not getting nutes.

Next time: one plant per pot, no digging up the soil around them, know that you soil mix is well prepared with all needed elements in right proportions. The last one is hard and requires a lot of studying but when you get it right, everything is easier. Good luck!

I'd put the plants under your light, then close the grow room and leave them alone for a couple days. The more you try to fix them the more you'll probably fuck them up. They don't really need a whole lotta help from people to grow, sometimes less is more.

Thank you so much guys for your feedback, I have watered once initially when i prepared the pots, and after 7 days i watered again till i got a run off, it was 1 liter of water only, ow they seem to be developing roots as i didn't water them since then 12 days, and the soil now is moist but not soaking, first 2 inches are dry, my question is, when to start watering again ? as leaves are droopy now, and its from over watering, i dont want to water them any soon, also i dont want to dry the roots out, i have a moisture meter, like a rod you insert into the soil to test the moisture, now it is reading 7 out of 10 and that is the green zone, when it drops to 3 and that's when I'm planning to water(just around the plants, with no run off for now) second question is what should i feed them ?

You should water now. Once they are dry 2-3 inches down then water them. I dont grow from bottled nutes so no opinion on those nutes

pure water ? or mixed with nutes? RH is 60-70

Just give them a bit of water poured right around the seedlings when the top of the pot is dry. Try like 150ml around each one and wait till that looks dry again before watering again . Is there any nutes in your soil?
