seedlings too tall

i germinated in tissue transfered to 1 inch roockwool after soaking transfered them under lights because they were tall they are now 5 icnes tall they have started to bend over i wateres them the night before just water ph 6 7 but the roockwool was nearly dry the next morning they seem like they cant hold there weight 250 lamps plants are 22 inches away from lights could somone give me some awnsers to this cheers

more details what type of light? to help with drying try a humidty dome. you can make one out of an old gateraid bottle. uou prouble need to get your light closer then 22'' away or your plants might strech

lights are 250 watts High output Metal Halide lamp space 4 ft wide length 4ft 7ft tall like i said i watered them the night before and they was leaning how close to the light should they be should the roockwool only be moist

you need to water them more often...... rockwool holds water nicely, but when you have HID lights on it the water evaporates pretty quickly....also, move the lights a little closer, they may be stretching to get the lights (doubt it since it's HID, but never know). also make sure you have a fan blowing on the seedlings so they can strengthen their stem and be able to hold themselves up.
