check out my 4 day old babies, most of them are very green and healthy, but their are a few that are showing some yellow and have leaves that look a bit funny, some slight twisting..have a look and tell me what this could be? everything in the room is spot on, 75 degrees with 50% humidity...thanks for any help dudes!

the twisting can be genetic or nute burns. seedlings need virtually no nutes since they can use what it stored in the cotyledons to grow for a while. organic soils usually dont burn seedlings but soils with chemical "slow release" type ferts can torch young, senstive seedlings.

at this stage its easy to over do it start letting the soil get fairly dry between watering and of course no nutes

awesome, thanks alot for all the quick replies dudes! i haven't checked my ph yet and just last watering i fed them with less than 1/4 of recommended dosage of fox farms grow big..and i always let the soil go dry before watering, i just go by how heavy they are when i pick em up...i'm following this guys grow who i got the advice to give them a small bit of grow big early, https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/151253-12-12-seed-harvest-1-a.html.

oh yeah, i'm using the best soil in my opinion, fox farm's ocean forest...i'm starting to think it's genetic cause all of them don't have it and i've been doin the same thing to the whole group...appreciate it guy!! :lol:bongsmilie:eyesmoke:

4 day old seedlings should not be getting fed nutes. you'd be well advised to begin flushing now. in a couple days you're probably going to start seeing nute burn.

i just noticed you're using ffof. this is pre-ferted, so i'd bet a shiny nickel your plants will all be burnt to a crisp by mid -week...

haha, thanks for the help buddy, NOT.... :finger:their actually a bit older, proably round 7 days and i agree they'd be burnt if i used full nutes, but i literally put a few small drops in almost 2 gallons of water, less than a 1/4 tsp!! the guy in this grow, https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/151253-12-12-seed-harvest-1-a-40.html, advised me to use more than i used on day 1, and i went ahead and waited till day 6 or 7...he's done this and just look at his results..

that may be, but it's also true to FFOF has more than enough nutes to last a seedling through the first 10-14days.

also keep in mind that some strains are far more sensitive to ferts than others. there are some that will begin to burn even when fully mature with only half of the fox farms recommended doses. those twisting leaves are communicating something to you!

oh, and some strains just have funky first leafsets, so let us know what the second set looks like.

all i can go on is what you post. you said 4 days old, you said less than 1/4 nutes, you said ffof medium. then, a couple drops of food, LOL! to me, that adds up to very young seedlings in pre-ferted medium, being fed a less than 1/4 strength solution. that imo, will lead to burnt plants. no need to give me the finger. you should point it your way. if your gonna come here looking for help, the least you could do is post correct info. i hope your plants don't get burnt. but if your original post is correct, (and apparently, you don't even know.) you should see tip burn and major leaf burn damage by Wednesday or sooner. it may depend on how much you actually fed them.

yeah, sorry bro, i wasn't ripped earlier!! haha
fucking baked now, i'm good...:bigjoint:
i put less than a 1/4 teaspoon in 1.5 gallons of water, so i'm pretty sure their not gonna get burnt up...i shouldn't have put any in though cause of the ocean forest, you're right bout that...the rocket dude uses alot on day 1, i couldn't believe that but his results are undeniable!! and even fox farm says to use grow big during the 1st 2 weeks, so i think its okay in small amounts... i'm thinking it's genetic or just one of the retardes of the group, because its only on 4 out of 20 babies, the rest are perfectly green and have straight leaves...also, the new sets coming in are dark green and look very healthy...thanks for the help dudes..i'm just gonna keep an eye on em and keep the conditions perfect and they should be ok..

no worries bro! i haven't checked out that link (i will) but i know of no one who ferts so early. they get all of their early needs from the cotyledons. hey, if it works, i'll do it!

yeah, forsure check it, it's pretty amazing shit!! it inspired me to try 12/12 from seed! in my previous grows i've never used nutes so early either, so we'll see...
