Hydro = no bug, gnats, caterpillars, fungus, algae ect...... not to mention, you can be lazy with two week reservoir change intervals. All ya got to do is fill it up with about 2 1/2 gallons every 3 days to top off the tanks and take a measure of PPM and PH. Other then that, lazy proof!

Oh, and plants produce way more bud and faster growth then soil in my opinion. I can't wait to finish my veg room! Getting rid of soil and more light proofing the two rooms off better since there back to back sharing ventalation! Other then that, I got this system nailed and dialed in. Now I just need to veg clones 1 week before flowering and get them a little larger to produce the best yield for my 28" hieght limitation!

yeah I have heard all that and I have read up on some do it yourself systems. It would cost me a decent amount to get started. Not to mention I dont own ppm/ph meters. Its not needed for soil with organic nutes. think Its something thats gunna be down the road a bit but I do want to make one. Looks like fun

Everything is going good. still no roots on my clones but I have been given some whiteberry clones by an awesome grower in my area. Now Im thinkin about putting one of the Nemesis in flowering, keeping one nemesis, one whiteberry, one lemon skunk and one big bag as mothers but I will have to see how this is going to work out. Either way I told the guy I would keep the genetics until he wanted some back so the whiteberry is staying.
They were all in clay pellets and rocks so I had to very gently jiggle out all the rocks/pellets and gingerly place them in there new homes.
I did it last night and when I woke up this morning they all still looked good so I think it will be ok.

The guy gave me 11 10-14" tall clones..... LOL I gave 4 to my mom and am going to try to give atleast one more to a buddy of mine.
I will put a tray of 5 in the flowering room when the lights come on and see how they do in my set up

ok so I cleared out the veg room a little bit. I can handle the current load in their now.
I put one tray with 5 whiteberrys clones and one of the nem mothers in the flowering room to make room.
I thought I would have more then enough room for the 10-12 clones but now its going to get pretty tight in there. I will have twice as much space this weekend so they will just have to make it till then. Im excited to see how I do. The humidity has gone way up in both rooms due to the increased number of plant. Not sure what to think of it yet but the plants seem like they took the transplant very well outta their hydro set up.
Its a Sea of Green baby:bigjoint:

very nice man can't wait, and congrats on those white berry clones! Btw hydro is like dewey says pretty simple and really its not very costly either, im doing coco that is pretty much a hydro medium but retains a good amount of water. the whole medium plus nutes was like $60 and i still have nutes left for another round, so a grow your size maybe like $60 a round. Anyway man its something to think about, you dont really need a ppm meter if you know exactly what you are putting in your res but it always helps to figure out if you got any problems. I myself just mix a gallon and ph it and feed. Im gonna set up a drip system next time cus this hand watering is a bitch cus its everyday and i know they would enjoy twice a day feeds. anyway all im saying is hydro is very easy and not really that expensive.

Oh I know
The more plants I get the better hydro is looking. Having to hand water 20+ plants is a big pain in the ass. Not to mention sometimes its hard to get to certain areas of my grow room. It would be nice to just check 2-3 reservoirs instead of 23 plants for sure.....Its also a pain disposing of all this soil lol

If I was going to do it I would drop a few bucks and make a decent ebb&flow or a few of those 20-30 site rubbermaid set ups. I was really impressed with those grows I have followed. Its something I will have to try sometime either way

lol
being in a condo makes it look better too

So I found something very bad in my garden last night..... It was what appeared to be a spidermite.... I looked around on the same plant very carefully and found one more....
I inspected all of my plants in the veg room and couldnt see anymore. So it hasnt gotten that bad yet. I did move a tray into my flowering room just the other day so my flowering room is possible infested aswell.
Im not sure if it was some of the clones I have received lately. I got 3 from my mom and 7 from a buddy so I need to tell them to check their plants just incase.

I got off of work extra early and got some Neem oil after a quick read on the subject. I do have a few questions about the aplication but it seems pretty easy to use and its organic so it should hurt my buds.

I am going to spray all the plants down tonight like 5 min before the lights go down(so I can see) and then again 2 times a week for a couple of week. This stuff doesnt kill the eggs so I will have to get those little suckers once they hatch. Wish me luck..

don't use the neem oil on the plants that you are going to harvest soon. Its an oil and thc is oil soluble so it might dissolve some of your thc and you dont want that in the final stages of budding. I've used it with good success, spray the whole plant under/over the leaves but try not to soak her cus it might cause a litle damage. And all those warnings of poison, just make sure you dont ingest it or breath it or get it in you eyes. I used no protective gear and sprayed my hands plenty and nothing happened so im pretty sure if you dont have it introduced inside your body its all good.

I read up on it a bit. I wasnt planning on using it on the plants that are past 3 weeks of flowering
Are you sure your talking about neem oil? Its totally safe for people and animals. You can make toothpaste with it and use it for skin care.... It just says not to ingest it

Neem oil can relieve dry and itchy scalp, dandruff, the symptoms of scalp psoriasis, as well as giving you silky, shiny, stronger hair and encourage growth.

when I said "I am going to spray all the plants down tonight like 5 min before the lights go down" I was only talking about the veg room.
I checked all the plants I just put into the flowering room for signs of mites and there are none so I will keep lookin carefully everyday but right now it looks like its just in the veg room. I only saw webbing on one plant and found one on a second plant. So right now only 2 in my veg room are affected but Im sure there are more

yea i used 70% neem oil bought at the garden store and it had a shitload of info on precautions before use. I bet its all just bullshit tho. Brand was greenlight

spray the veg room down, and do it every week or every few days. instructions should say the interval time when actually treating the plants and one for prevention. Ive heard both ways as far as if they kill eggs or not, so not sure. also spray those clones in the flower room. I never had pests indoor but i guess im just lucky, and i havent done too many indoors. Anyway good luck man, that neem should take care of those girls real nice.

Spider mites eggs take 3 days to hatch, neem oil doesnt effect the eggs so you have to apply evrey 3-4 days for a couple of weeks. Neem oil is absorbed into the mites or other bugs and it makes them to sick to mate. Messes up there hormones. Gotta get each generation as they hatch though.

edit: I checked all the plants in my flowering room for signs of mites(that took a while). None of the clones had any signs of mites so it didnt come from the whiteberrys. The nem I just put in there had something on one of the leaves that looked as if it could be mite damage but I could find any other signs on that plant. I need to find out how important it is to have the lights off while applying. Im on a 24 hour light cycle and fell asleep before the lights shut off last night. I was thinking about just having the lights turn off at 9 and turn back on at 12 or 1. Just enough time for the neem to do its thing

Im off this shitty sight. I got banned for a simple conversation with that Fdd staff memeber. He sent me a several insulting messages
I responded to all of his messages with maturity and he banned me for harassing him.
How is a one to one exchange of messages harassment? Its not
Fdd is just a old man that doesnt know shit about growing. He obviously hates his life so he escapes to this world were he can boss people around and abuse the power he shouldnt have.

Im outta here. Have fun with this shitty sight and the shitty staff on it
