Seeds germinated in 10 or higher pH?

Simple question, what happens when you germ seeds in water with a extremely high pH?

Probably nothing if you correct it before they crack. Would make a good science fair question.

I doubt there are issues with that, but now I'm curious.
I'm not really having problems with pH but I was really high earlier and I remembered I germinated seeds in my regular tap and I have city water (my pH is naturally around 9.5 ) they germed and now their in flowering (can't take a pic doing 10/14) I just now got a pH tester and I'm really curious as to how my plants either adapted or the soil I use is the best buffer ever still I'm going to try it out, perhaps in dwc? If the tolerance is there it'd definitely be easier the plants are called "weed" though so maybe they live up to the name .
