seeds not cracking

well I have finally produced some seeds. I put the pollen on the female and the seeds did appear. I found a lot of good viable seeds (dark with lines). I soaked them in water, waited 24 hours. Checked it and still nothing cracked. I thought maybe I should wait a little more, so I put them in a soaked paper towel and waited another 24 hours. By this time, I figured I should have at least a few cracked. Yet, nothing cracked. I'm wondering what am I doing wrong? I got the seeds and they look like prefect seeds. The only thing is nothing is cracking. Its really irritating me since I have collected a lot. What would I have to do to make them start going??

Can you do work with a blade? Get a razor, you might want to practice on shit seed. Crack that shit open on the slit. Just open it enough for moisture to enter the casing. Do not hit the sprout in it.

Sometimes when they are fresh they wont crack or maybe you were being impatient and should of just left them where you had them the first place.......but anyways if you got more seeds leave 'em alone the next time around........some beans take longer to crack than others I would give up on them after 4-5 days....and keeping them in a warm area promotes faster germination rates

give the seeds a month man. then just stick them 1/4" into moist soil. keep it moist until it pops above ground. the seed directly into medium method is IMO the best germ method. cause with the paper towel method you can damage small hair folicles on the roots, which can turn the plant hermie. (so ive read).

I have a 90% success rate with soil while a mere 50-60% success with paper towel method. I even had seeds in a paper towel for 72hours no pop so i just put in soil and BAM she pops within 12hours.

seeds love natures way of germination, and its safer for the roots. try doing what i suggested with a couple of your fresh seeds, they might crack. if not i say just leave them for a month, then they should be viable if they dont crack with pressure.
