Seeds sitting in mailbox and heat?

Hey crew! Just got off work and I unexpectedly had a reship sitting in my mailbox waiting for me. My concern is the fact it was 80 degrees today and they were sitting in my mailbox the entire time. Upon getting the package I noticed it warm to the touch, along with my mailbox which was fairly warm aswell. Do you guys think this will have any negative effects on the seeds?

I've had similar incidents happen before and saw no ill effects during my grow.
You should be fine :)
Awesome! I was hoping there would be no problem, just surprised me we had a nice sunny day, in the 80s and BAM, I come home to see my seeds in the mailbox :). Mail usually runs here around noon so they were sitting in there for about 5 hours.

If they sat in a hot dry mailbox, do not put in water to germinate! They won't germinate, but will hatch instead! Lil green scaley dudes.and of course don't feed them or they multiply and take over small towns.ooops, never mind thinking of something else.....
Ya your seeds are fine.

Interesting, I hear some people actually keep their seeds in the freezer. I was always under the impression the cooler the better and heat kills. I read some people killed their seeds with heating mats under the cups they were germinating in.

yes if you try to gem and its to hot it will kill them . I keep mine at a steady 75f all the way through they hatch .

I keep my stash of seeds in my fridge, keeping them in the freezer is overkill, IMO.
Any dry, cool, and dark, place is a good place to keep seeds.

I let new seeds stabilize in the fridge 7 days after being shipped.
Then let them stabilize 24 hours in ambient temps before trying to germ them.

Right on! Gotcha man, I take it they will be fine then just sitting in the mailbox. I read on THCFarmer that some dude left his seeds in the mailbox for 3 days exposed to 90 degree + weather and they germed fine :)

oh okay i thought celcius for a sec haha. im tryin to grow outdoors in australia atm cos im desperate for bud aha. so far many tragedies... first dog attacked the pot as the seed was in the soil and the seed fell out of the soil and it was roasting in the sun for about 6 hours. i quickly re-planted but not sure how its doing. then my other 3 are in the bush in soil since tuesday and they still havent broken the surface so im a bit worried. any tips? and thinking of investing on a CFL light for my cupboard or somethin

Today we have similar weather, I put my temp gauge in the mailbox and its maxing out past 100! I will keep you guys posted on the progress of these bad boys when and if they germinate!
