Seedsman Northern Lights Auto - Hermie Seeds

I just harvested a Northern Lights Auto from Seedsman and I'm finding upwards of 10+ seeds as I'm curing. I've read that these are all going to be female seeds, but figured I'd ask the community. Anybody have experience in this domain and can confirm the gender of these seeds?

If mom was a female, so are babies. Debatable on if they are more hermie prone or not.

im led to believe they will have a greater tendancy towards hermi, but as MATTY say's, its debateable

I could be wrong, but I don't see how a stress induced selfing could cause higher rates of hermi children. Like does the pollen have some magic hermie dust in it?

My understanding is that most cannabis plants carry the hermie gene as a survival tool, and like autism in humans, hermaphrodite-ism is a spectrum with some plants expressing both sexes more readily than others.

If the plant selfed all on its own under normal, non-stressful conditions, then I think its more likely you will see hermies in those seeds.

lol, dont think it has any in it.

so OP, was there stress involved in the growing of the plant, and if so, just how much and what type was involved?

External conditions were pretty normal (light, temp, humidity, water) but I did overfeed with calcium and magnesium…because this was an auto I managed to get to harvest before any big issues had a chance to develop. Would nutrient toxicity make a plant produce seeds?

…And I only know this because I’m running photos at the same time and they got stunted pretty bad. They’ve since recovered but I was giving all plants the same amounts so I’m sure it was the faster flower time that saved the auto

Maybe, but from personal experiences I've never seen a direct correlation between over/under fed plants and going hermie.

Hermie traits appear from hormonal responses, like from light leaks during the dark (definitely seen this cause hermies with my own eyes) or chemically induced from CS or STS.

Well these are autos so I’m not sure light leaks would be an issue - they were also on 18/6 the whole time.

What’s CS and STS?

Colloidal silver and Silver Thiosulfate. They are chemicals sprayed on a female plant that trigger the hormonal response for her to express male parts and produce pollen. This is how feminized seeds are made.

Aaah so that’s how it’s done

Ok now here's a twist - in the same tent I was also growing Sweet Seeds CBD Red Auto and I just found two seeds in that flower as I was burping the jars! Either it's a coincidence that these are both genetically predisposed to herming, or it's a reaction to nutrient toxicity...or some other factor I'm not accounting for...

Or it could've been one plant pollinated itself, and the other one. Who knows. I think @PopAndSonGrows is right though, no need to trip out over it.

How was the weed though?? Just curious because I personally had an amazing experience with a Seedsman auto (Kush/Hindu Kush)
