Seems like my Plants take for ever to Sex

Ok I have been reading on people say there ladies show sex by week 5 or 6-8th node. I have been growing for 4 years now and only had one plant which was Acapulco Gold show sex that early. I have 7 strains I need to know the sex for. They are in 1/2 gallon grow bags at 10th growing 11th node. When will these things show sex? Im running out of space in Veg tent and I'm ready to get these things in there 5 gallon grow bag in the flower tent. I have Plush Berry, GDP, Purple Mayhem, GreenCrack&GDP Cross, KosherKush&GDP cross, Lost Coast OG&GDP cross, and Gods Gift that has not showed sex yet. How many nodes must it get before I can top to sex and At what node do I top to sex the top cutting?

Usually for me sexing ultimately depends upon the training I've given the plants.

If I've topped/pruned/FIM/supercropped etc then it generally takes a few weeks more than just left to grow naturally.

Quickest I've experienced I think was 6 weeks veg.

Thats the thing I normally top at 4th node but thats with Female beans. With these regulars I didn't top or nothing just let them grow then some of them I LST. I haven't put any major stress on them. They are under a 600w mh.

I grow in hydro

When I increase ppms above 500 (Hydroponic-Research V+B) plants show sex within 7- 10 days, WITHOUT reducing the light hours

I really want to switch to Hydro. Just can't baby sit my ladies how Hydro growers do with the checking ph and stuff everyday. Im too out and about during the day and night.

Typically, one would flip to flower for 5-6 days to force-sex them, then go back to veg. Can you try this? That, or take a clone from each plant, throw it into flower right away, and as long as they are all labelled, you'll know which mom plants to keep.

Petflora makes a good point. Outdoor grow takes forever, if this is how they've been trained. One thing you can do is stick them in a dark closet that has ventilation. Wait a week, and you should show some signs. For pruning, any number of nodes above 3 is good, generally it depends on the overall health of the plant.

I wanted to top the plants thats about 11nodes high right above 7th or 6th node and sex the cutting. I have never force sex before. How long will it take to convert back cause I have reveg a harvested lady before and it took about a month to go back to veg

If you put them back immediately after sexing, 5-10 days they'll go back.

Why not just top the plants, turn them into clones, then sex them in flower? It'll take a lot longer to do that than force sex on the original plants though.

That was just a proviso. Increasing ppms > 500, maybe a lot more, in soil should signal the plant to sex

I don't check pH at all as Hydroponic-Research V+ B is very stable

My rez is outboard, so maintaining sufficient nutes is super simple
